people who have switched to polypro, how do you like it? do you ONLY use polypro now?

i personally love it, it's more like a rubbery plastic vs a hard plastic, idk how else to really describe it but it's great.

the only thing is i seriously don't see myself using my other hoops anymore, im gonna keep them for friends and such if they want to hoop but i really only want to use polypro now!

do you still switch between tubing's or have you stuck with polypro since you switched? just curious on other people's experience with the tubing, thanks!

i love it now. i have used other tubings though to help when practising but polypro is just so great! where would we be without it!

I switch around from tubing and sizes, it depends on the music Im listening to, if I am practicing, or learning a new move. I love them all!!!

I love it!  It is the only tubing I use as of right now when hooping with one hoop!  But!  I did just venture finally into some multihooping and I have reverted back to the old irrigation tubing to practice!

I was starting to get a little bored of hooping, then I bought a poly pro, and boom! I can hoop super fast now. Love it! I still use some of my other hoops, but I really love poly pro.

I love polypro so much, been using it for months now. Soo responsive. I hardly use anything else.

It took me about two years before i decided to see what the big fuss was about polypro.  After about a whole day with my new hoop, i wasnt impressed.  I went back to using my regular hoops probably later that night.  I feel like with my other hoops, i can control them more with finding weight and balance.  Sometimes i feel like im part of the few doesnt prefer the pro.  I do ocasionally use it if im trying to learn a new trick that i end up hitting myself in the face with a lot :D

I'm with ya! I personally don't care for polypro.

Yea! I feel like there's less control...and it's difficult to do breaks with them.

Or may be it's takes more getting used to...dunno :S

I like to switch it up. Different types of hoops have different types of rhythms and I like to bring those different patterns and properties into my hooping. My go-to hoop is a 36" 1/2" 125 PSI PPE hoop....and has been for a year now. I just love it. And I'm honestly a sucker for a nice spungy hoop that's been sitting in the sun all day.

But I use my polypros for multi-hooping. They're just lighter and smoother for working with twins. And a single polypro when I'm working on iso-type moves.

What size tubing do you use for multi hooping? I have 5/8" but I can't imagine maintaining more than one hoop at a time.

I still use my "big daddy" hoop for learning new moves and for when I want to take it a bit slower.

I like small dense hoops, so it's either polypro or wide PE. I gave all my bigger 1/2" PE hoops to my high school's gym department when I graduated.

Thin PE to do breaks is like this... BOUNCE where the circle gets shmushed and takes some time to reform back and reverse. Tosses with polypro go higher and my style is decidedly based on isos and breaks.

I still have a small 1/2" PE hoop for fire hooping (I mean come on, I'm not going to do breaks frequently enough to care) and body rolls (which are a lot harder with polypro).
