ok,  so  i   usually hoop with a  5/8 o.d  polypro hoop.  For those of  you  not number savy ( im not eihter) thats  the thinnest tubing, thinner than 1/2 black  tubing.  its  awesome.  cept for the  fact  that  they  dont make LEDS  that   skinny.  I have asked   jeremiah of  hoop daddy and  some other   makers  as well and apprently its too thin  for   the wiring  etc  at the moment.  SO,  my question is,  im  willing to  get  a 3/4  polypro LED, and  have been looking at a  few. my friend  just  got a   helix proton.  and  i know people that have gotten a hoopdaddy pheonix.  Neither are  compatible with a mac  which   i hate  but whatever. one  has  a   remote  but  thats  not really cruaical to  me (  hoop daddy),  prices are similar.  so  my question is  which  should i  get?  im  used to  such a  light hoop?  i know hoop  daddy is  11 ounces,  but not sure about  proton.   rattling? charging?  etc?  anyone can  give insight?  its a  hefty price ( 400 range) and i  wanna  do my research  with hands on  hoopers.

thanks in  advance.  i have looked at  other  forums  but wanted to give my  background with a fresh feed. feel free to link me to  some i  may have  missed.  thanks in  advance again.

PS.  hoop  daddy  apparently isnt making them   anymore till he catches up on orders.  i want  mine  within a  month.

i haven't personally bought an LED hoop yet but i also use the 5/8in tubing (got almost 400 ft for free) but have you tried moodhoops.com troohoops.com or superhooper.org

i have  an  led   thats   what i call "boring typical"  i   want a  "smart hoop" one  with the works and those are the  two  best on the market  right now.

moodhoops and  troohopps  are great  for    hoopers   that  dont have one  yet  but i have  had  an  led  for   a   few  years   and im ready to   get an  awesome  one now.

there are a few sites that do custom ones like astral hoops, psi hoops, and trick concepts.

just a heads up, the shipping period for the helix right now is around 8 weeks, you won't get it within a month.

yea  i  read that  earlier,  oh well  either  way im  not  getting  any  qaulity hoop   in a  month  so  back to  the  questin of  which one. no time limit  included

ok, just thought i would let you know. unfortunately i cannot comment on either hoop, as i have never seen one in real life, though i am expecting my helix by mid-august. i chose the helix over the atomic because of the thinner tubing size. i had wanted a phoenix because of the remote and bluetooth settings, but was unsure when he would be accepting orders again.

The Atomic Pro from Astral Hoops is 3/4" and awesome!

Hoops of Creation makes 5/8" OD tubing polypro LED hoops. I just ordered a set of doubles; several of my friends have HOC hoops and they are seriously amazing. Very high quality, very lightweight. I don't think they'll do them within a month though... but if you decide to forgo that requirement, they are highly recommended. I have a Hoop Daddy Foxfire hoop which I love, but like you say, they only come in the 3/4" OD tubing.

I had emailed Patrick from PSI hoops last weekend and he has a pair of pre-made hoops in the thin tubing you're looking for, they're 30.5" diameter, and he'll sell one of them instead of the pair. I think around $200 - $250 each, some sort of green/cyan/blue color scheme, 2 circuits... you could email him for details! Expensive, but hey, they're PSI hoops...

Edit: Just saw your comment about wanting a "smart" hoop... if that's the case, I highly recommend Hoop Daddy :)

I'm looking into hoops of creation for my LED because of the lightweight and small tubing. how are their hoops?

and i don't really understand all of these ''smart'' hoops.. i feel like i'm missing something.. haha

I use 5/8 tubing too and I've been searching for anyone who can do polypro that size because I like small, light hoops. I think hoops of creation does LEDs in 5/8 tubing as long as the hoop is under a certain size.

they don't do the protons or any of those crazy hoops but you can custom make one for a pretty nice price.

hope this helps:)

love and light <3

Personally, I would choose the Phoenix for two reasons:

1) I already have the Fox Fire hoop from Hoop Daddy and his hoop quality and customer service are outstanding.

2) The Helix hasn't been around for as long as the Phoenix (I realize both are still quite new though) so there may be bugs with it that they are unaware of at the moment.

I'm currently saving up for a Phoenix so that when he starts selling them again, I can get my hands on one.
