Phish Meatstick NYE extravaganza... Check it out!

I'm a relative new phan to Phish, always seemed to dig Cheese more, but I have really come to respect and appreciate this band a whole lot in the past 6 months. Their insane choreographed dance number to their song Meatstick using a whole stage full of Broadway dancers showed a truly different side to them. It was the type of thing I would expect to see at a Cheese show... but I guess I need to remove that stereotype from my brain.

For those that don't know, Meatstick is a huge phan favorite, and it includes a little dance that the band and the whole crowd does. This dance was expanded and interpreted into a celebration of cultures from across the world as their countdown to midnight.

The first 5 minutes are just the band doing the song. There's a few crowd shots that I love because you can see how everyone is going nuts. It gets crazy around 5 minutes. By 6:30, I had tears in my eyes. I never thought Phish would bring tears to my eyes...

Anyway, check it out! What a show!

WOW!!  i love this!!  how amazing for them to include all of the different countries and cultures.  my man def had a tear in his eye at the exact time you said you were brought to tears!  gotta love music. <3

phish is an amazing band, they are one of my favorites by far <3

i love phish, they changed my life haha. string cheese is also up there with the life-changers :)

my friend and her boyfriend are in NY and were at this concert, i can't wait to be like "oh hey, did you know the meatstick when it came on?... no... cause i do YOU FUCKERS!" :) hah i am in full out envy/rage.
