Mainly writing this to review the Helix since not many people have gotten the chance to actually use one yet. I finally got my hands on one for a bit over the weekend and I have also played with quite a few Phoenix hoops. The Helix does not compare the Phoenix really at all. The Helix does look beautiful BUT it is very heavy, like veryyyyyyy heavy, also didn't seem counter balanced, I didnt enjoy using it. While it looks nice, it doesn't seem worth the money at all if you are an experienced hooper who needs a fast reactive type hoop, and not a slow dragging one. While the Phoenix is much lighter and perfectly balanced. I would highly recommend the Phoenix over the Helix. They are even the same price I believe.

That may be true but Hoop-Daddy has not been taking orders for the phoenix for a long time.. Who knows when they're actually going to start selling them again? Would you happen to know what kind of tubing the Helix had?

yes it does SUCK that he has been so backed up on orders =/ but I am waiting for his Phoenix! I think it'll be so worth the wait! I dont want to settle for anything less, especially with how much these new hoops go for. Not sure what type of tubing it was in though, it wasn't polypro

Yeah I was just thinking because some people got that (I think it was 7/8 OD) HDPE tubing which is really big!

her tubing was still 3/4" but i think it was the hdpe tubing because it was a milky white and wasnt very see through

That's pretty surprising to hear, as Proton Labs claims theirs is the lightest available. I've heard a few people say it's not perfectly balanced well though. I'm still waiting on mine that I ordered in May, and I'm really hoping I like it..
Thanks for the review!

Im sure you'll like it. It looked great, just had a few weight drawbacks. You'll get used to the weight and stuff just like any other hoop

i got mine a few days ago and it's a lot lighter than what i expected it to be. i got it to be the same size as my 36" moodhoop and it's about 4oz lighter than the moodhoop.

I really love my Helix. When I pick it up it's hard to stop fiddling with all the different settings, haha.

Well darn, now I kinda wish I got the Phoenix instead, haha. I got my 31" polypro helix last week and totally love it, though. I guess I'm just not that picky about balance since it seems perfectly fine to me. As far as weight, it seems to me to be about the same as the Atomic Pro, which to me is pretty light for an LED hoop, though the only other hoops I've gotten to play with are the Mood hoops and Trick Concepts hoops. The lights on the Helix look really amazing, in any case :)

Hey mama! what order number were you? Im still waiting on mine.. just wondering where he might be at order wise <3 love and light.

How long ago did you put in your order?

Craig says the order they're sending out today is 4 times larger than any shipment they've done before so you shouldn't be waiting too long!
