I tried to ask this on the chat room, but haven't had much luck with it. I just started fire hooping and I'm trying to get some cool photos. I like with the flames come out all swirly-like looking.I can't figure out how to accomplish that. Granted, so far, I've been taking pics on my phone. I have a camera, but it's a super basic, small, digital camera. So I don't think I can adjust the exposure or anything on it. Would doing something like turning my flash off help. I'm gonna play around with it tonight, but if anyone has any suggestions, please share!

Ask a friend to take pictures of you.  I don't know about you, but I have several friends who are amateur photographers.  If you know anyone who loves to take pictures and has a camera with a removable lens, they are the person to go to.  I've been to a couple events too where there is a person who takes pictures like mad.  If you go to something like that, you can always ask them to put the pictures of you up on facebook.

Some digital cameras have different settings for particular situations, usually represented by little pictures you can chose from, for example, sports, low light ,landscape and that sort of thing.

If yours has a preset for taking photos of stars or fireworks then that will work pretty well for taking photos of fire or glow. But you will need to use a tripod or rest the camera on something so it does not move.

Thank you! I'm gonna try it out :)

You need a higher quality camera, you have to leave the shutter open by pressing the button halfway (not completely) down  during the photo the longer and steady you hold it the more motion you capture.

If you have any friends or family with a nice camera perhaps they will help you out?

Good luck!
