I just bought my first polypro and I was wondering, is it normal for it to feel weighted where the connector is? I just thought that would kind of defeat the purpose of the super lightness of the polypro. It's a collapsable hoop and the connector is hot pink so it doesn't necessarily look like polypro. Idk, I'm so confused when buying hoops. Any help greatly appreciated!

Since it's collapsible the more pieces your hoop is in the more buttons, rivets etc. adding to the hoops overall weight. If it's just a coil down with 1 connector and button it shouldn't add enough weight to throw off your hooping. But yes it will add weight to your hoop compared to a non-collapsible polypro. lol as for the color of the connector it sounds like whoever you bought it from ran out of the non-colored insert tubing and used what they had. If it's not just a colored polypro insert most likely  used colored hdpe it would add some weight than a polypro insert but it would only add like 2-3 grams more maybe compared to a polypro insert. As long as the hoop does what you wanted it to do no reason to complain to the seller about it. Unless the pink insert looks really off and visible through your hoop.

Martika seems to have it down! Rivets and a push button shouldn't really affect how you hoop, although it adds a TINY bit of weight. And like she said it's probably pink because they used a piece of colored tubing...same thing just prettier :) If you are unhappy with it always try talking to the hoop maker - they usually will understand your concerns and work with you!

Thanks guys.. I've gotten used to it now I think it was just switching hoops threw me off :)
