Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of a moment and need some advice.
I got a moodhoop a while ago, I had it for two days. The first day I couldn't use it because I was really sick and couldn't hoop but I hooped with it the next day and after a while the lights dimmed and it completely stopped working. I wrote to moodhoops and they sent me a prepaid postage to send the hoop back which wouldn't download on my computer for some reason. I ended up having to wait a few months so I could get my money right and pay for it to be shipped back to them.
I got the hoop in the mail today and I LOVE it, it's amazing. Beautiful, aaaah, I got the Spectrum and it's great. I hooped with it for probably 20 minutes before it did the EXACT same thing as before.
So now I'm really freaking out because I'm getting rather sick of dealing with this crap. I either want a new hoop because it's obvious there's something wrong with this one; when it's not moving it's fine but when it starts moving it takes a shit. Or I just want my money back. I would even take a partial refund at this point that's how fed up I am.
The problem is that I paid for polypro upgrade. I know that it says that they can't refund for polypro but I've hardly even been able to enjoy the thing I paid over 140 dollars for now.
Has anyone else ever dealt with anything like this? If so, how was it resolved? I'm totally freaking out right now I don't want all of my money, time, and this beautiful hoop to go to waste.

It could be the battery or charger issue, does your hoop turn red before it shuts off?

I have a spectrum for a while now and have not experienced any problems. I think if it's not the battery or charger then something is wrong with the wiring/LEDs. Sometimes with a string of lights if one light bulb is broken or not working properly the otheres will not but I don't know much about LED light to really say for sue. I'd ask for a brand new hoop, newly constructed hoop rather than the same hoop back.
Permalink Reply by Carly Roseanne on June 22, 2012 at 7:51am I emailed them and told them the situation, I'm really hoping they either send me a replacement or just refund my money. It does seem like it's a wiring issue so I'm going to hoop with all of the batteries in (they sent me 4) today for a while and see if it holds up. It's just the one battery that won't work now so I really don't know what's going on.

Permalink Reply by Carly Roseanne on June 23, 2012 at 11:37pm Oh God no, not at the same time. One at a time of course. It's seems to be working fine with all the other ones, I'm going to give it some time.
Permalink Reply by derple on June 24, 2012 at 3:29pm Oh cool sounds like the hoop works. Time to take video :D
Permalink Reply by Carly Roseanne on June 24, 2012 at 9:21pm yes I do believe it is working, I think it was just a problem with that first battery :)
Ohhhhohoho, soon my friend a video will be born. Very soon :3
i never had my moodhoop crap out on me. I got it in January and it broke in May, but the tubing cracked not anything innerworkings. I paid to have it re-tubed and they sent it back pronto.... but when I got it back they had sent me the wrong hoop! Agitated I emailed and they paid for return shipping and got me the correct hoop, and all of this was done in less than 2 weeks. They're really fast and helpful just shoot them an email they'll get it taken care of. it sounds like something isn't connected right in your wiring. or like martika said a battery issue. Make sure your battery is in correctly.... I put mine in backwards once and my hoop would turn on and then quit working as soon as I moved it, so I checked the battery and voila it was fine. either that or its something with the spectrum hoop its suuupr pretty but I have a lotus.. dont know if that makes a difference or not.
Permalink Reply by Carly Roseanne on June 22, 2012 at 7:52am haha, I didn't even have enough time to take my battery out after I put it in the first time! So it was definitely in correctly. I didn't even have enough time to drop it, lol. I will see what they say on Monday I know they're closed on the weekends so I'll update you guys then.
