I've been trying to learn the jump through using a tutorial by the venerable SaFire. Technically I guess I'm getting it, but I have two problems which are making my jump through look awful.
Problem 1 is that, having reviewed footage of myself attempting this trick, I know that I look really awkward/ungainly when I bring the hoop down to jump through it... I get this Quasimodo thing going on, and it's totally regrettable. Do you just sort of figure out how to posture yourself better after many, many repetitions, or is it my fate to always look dorky and hunched over?
Problem 2 is that I have a hard time bringing the hoop back up into lasso after I've jumped through. Like, if my feet/body make it through, then I have trouble getting the spin going on again (since I decelerate/change angles slightly to bring it down and jump in). Any tips? Do I need to get the whole trick going faster before I stop slowing down and having to wind up with my arm to get the hoop spinning again?
Sorry if my descriptions of the problems are confusing. Any advice or help you may have would be totally appreciated. Thanks!

Hmmm, it might be easier to give feedback if you posted a video of yourself doing the move-maybe I'm just really bad at visualizing spacial things. Anyway ...
I just did the move, trying to replicate how you described it. What I'm noticing is that, when I do it, my hand that's holding the hoop (my right hand since I hoop to the left) doesn't go lower than my waist--so there is no reason for me to be hunched over. The hoop is angled down a bit, so I can jump in on the left side without needing cat-like jumping skills. So basically I'm holding the hoop as low as I can hold it without having to bend over. Does that help?
The follow through is sort of similar to doing a vortex. Once I've jumped into the hoop, I am holding it with my right hand at the right side of my body. I move my right arm diagonally up (in front of my body) so it ends up by my left ear and then continue on to lasso.
I'm not sure if this explained anything or if all of this was obvious. Hope I helped!
