I have been saving up to get the Helix and today I came across the Synth. Does anyone have experience with both of these hoops? I've done lots of research on the Helix but there is minimal information on the Synth as of now.

The synth is just coming out and 20 are only available to people who got on the list a while back ago!

i luckily did>;)

its been hard waiting patiently, but I believe its going to be more unique than the helix. If you are able to have a chance to snag a synth go for it!

But if you dont want to take a chance with a new product coming out and not highly tested with multiple sources, go for helix.

But havent you seen the synths new pictures?!

<3

I love the heart pattern pictures they put up *swoon*

The synth is newer than the helix, so I doubt you're going to find any reviews on it for a while.  Although the Helix has a lot more patterns, I prefer the synth.  It's patterns are more artistic, in my opinion and I hate the gap on the helix.  On normal LEDs, you normally don't notice the battery gap that much. But, because the Helix is sooo bright, the gap looks huge. I'm thinking that the synth is definitely the better choice for me, especially because it's $100 cheaper than the helix.

One note on the Synth is that it does not allow you to make/add your own patterns. I also love that there is no gap and considered buying it until I realized you that.

More and more people are making this style of hoops so I'm figuring soon enough someone will come out with a new hoop with both those options.

That's a good point, Michelle. Someone is bound to mix all the good features together sooner or later. No gap + pattern control and creation would be PERFECT.

It's like Apple products. Just wait another 6 months for the better version to be made and sold. LOL.

LOL so true!

making and adding patterns is honestly over rated, i have a phoenix and it looks so great already i never even bother with the whole ordeal of pattern making and crap

Good point, Mina. That's pretty much the conclusion I came to as well, that if the hoop has amazing patterns, really, what could I come up with that would be any better to add to it? I liked the ability to customize on the Phoenix because I *didn't* like many of the patterns and wanted the option to remove them. Once I found a hoop I was confident in as is, different story!

I was wondering the same thing... I decided on the Synth because of its price and no gap.  Plus,  it's just beautiful and the creators have been really fast in responding.  They are really friendly :)  I just paid for mine a week ago!

I've heard that the Synth is less bright than the Helix, so that is something to think about. The smart hoops out there all have their pros and cons but this hoop has insane patterns (photos on their facebook page). It also costs just $300 compared to the other smart hoops out there...

My helix arrived this past weekend and I am so happy with it. 33 poly it's light and oh so bright. I am also on the first buyers list for the synth. I have talked to one of the testers she said its held together by tape and the charging port is on the inside and it can be painful to arm hoop. I spoke with the creators they said the tape is just how it's connected and one of the reasons there is no gap. I still plan on purchasing a 32 poly when my numbers up to have a set of some killer hoops. Hope this helped
