I have always fashioned my own hoops and it has served me well.  Not only are they functional, but I've enjoyed the creative process in making them.  Now, I find myself looking into some of the great sites that are out there specializing in hoops and accessories wanting to try out the handiwork of others.  I have sat, card in hand, staring longingly at a set of QuickWicks or a particularly creative tape-job and always talked myself out of giving over my card information at the last minute.  I know what century I find myself in and that a great deal of you buy online every day with no problems, but I just get nervous.  I was hoping you guys could serve up some of your amazing advice to help this reluctant consumer navigate the Personal Information pages of purchase with ease.  I would like to know if you suggest a straight transaction, paypal, or some other form of payment.  Also, if there are any sites you use and trust that I should focus on, let me know!  Thank you all for taking the time to read and respond!

Utilizing PayPal is a good option when available.  Another option is to purchase a pre-loaded credit card (my credit union offers this service...for a fee) for use in purchasing items online.

I always use PayPal when available. They're safe and there to help you if anything goes awry.

Otherwise, just make sure the website is secured to take personal information. You should be able to see a badge somewhere on the website stating this, or the website itself should be encrypted (you'll notice the url changes if this is the case).  Most websites that take money nowadays are secured.

Thanks guys!  I got a pre-paid card and am going to to open a PayPal account with that if possible.  I'm so excited to be able to buy online!
