So I usually hoop barefoot or with socks on, but for performances and what not that's not going to cut it. What do you use? I figured a jazz shoe or some sort of ballet slipper, but I just wanted to see what everyone else prefers.

I normally wear ballet shoes but I have to be bearfoot if I'm going to foot hoop, otherwise the hoop flies off my toes!

They make jazz shoes that are like tennis shoes. Thats what I prefer because they are flexible, but can take a beating.

I don't wear shoes for performances too...

Yeah I don't wear shoes either.. I find them heavy!  Some light shoes would be nice tho

Jazz shoes would probably work, but can get worn out if you're going to be on cement.

I don't ever wear shoes when I hoop really. Even performing, I slip them off :P But If I were going to wear something it'd definitely have to be a dance shoe.

I prefer barefoot hooping, but I'd like to give Vibram Five Fingers a try.

Oh I loooove those! I try them on all the time. I can't wait to buy some.

what are these shoes like? do they have a lot of support? i am so intrigued by them!

Well, I'm with Chels on this one... I've tried them on, but I have yet to actually buy a pair. I do plan buying them soon and I will let you know how well they work. From what I can tell and what others have told me, they do offer enough support.
I have a tone of friends who have these and LOVE them! (although they're not hoopers) but they swear by them.
I want a pair of those. I am a barefoot dancer and hooper.
Do it!!  They are AWESOME!!!
