I love watching videos as I'm sure we all do, but I think a lot of my favorite dancers are the ones who incorporate really easy tricks into their dance as well as the more difficult ones. These tricks might not necessarily be more easy, but they're a lot less showy and don't have as much of a "wow!" factor. Regardless, they're spicy little ways to switch up the energy of the dance. I'd give examples but I wouldn't know what to call them, and therefore I don't know what to search for when looking for help! Or if videos/tutorials for tricks like these even exist because the moves seem so simple! I guess what it comes down to is creativity. Sure it's fun to just swing the hoop around your body from hand to hand, but what could I do instead?

For example: the jawn she's doing around 4:53... helicopter around the body? wtf? (oh btw, her LED hoop died like 2 minutes into her first dance so that why she's using a normal one :/ )

I am the opposite of a lot of people here... I usually get bored during the dancing aspect of hoopers and love the trick/trick/trick circus style approach. BUT that video was just plain amazing. I absolutely loved it! Her energy was fantastic!

And the part at the beginning where the girl with the fire fans came out and blew the huge flame... I squealed, haha. The camera goes fuzzy from it, so I can't tell if it's a dragon's breath type thing or what, but it was cool.
Same for me. I always feel awkward and uncomfortable when dancing, with or without a hoop. So I mostly practice tricks and transitions from one impressive looking trick to another.
