What software do you use to edit your videos? I've tried a number of freeware programs out there but I've been having problems with them. I need a software that will convert my videos from the apple format that my camera saves them in to an .avi file. I'd also like to edit and play with my videos without spending a small fortune. So, what do you use and recommend?

We have a mac computer, and find Imovie (comes with the computer) pretty simple if you want to do straight forward stuff. I think PC people use Windows Movie Maker. Sometimes we use Final Cut Pro, but its expensive and complicated to learn, so stay away unless you are ready to spend some time learning. Mostly we make Juggling videos, as our parent company is Dubé Juggling but take a look around here if you are interested in other skills: http://www.youtube.com/user/dubejuggling

I've been having problems with windows movie maker recognizing the videos because of the format they are in. I've tried to convert them, but once they are converted they just make the program shut down. I wish now that I had a mac. :) I love your collapsible hoops!
Always a snag. Have you tried re-installing the program, and or installing the most up to date version from the windows mm site? Otherwise try uploading your raw video to a non-public youtube page and then downloading them back to your computer with this site: http://www.savevid.com/

Its a work around for sure, and it will add compression to your video, but it will make them smaller too.

Thanks for the compliments, we like our hoop too!
I have a PC and use movie maker that comes with the computer. Converting is free with Jet Audio and has LOTs of tolls too. CHeck that out :)
