Hey guys,

So I'm looking for more ideas on how we can make Hoop City even better. Do you have an idea for a resource we might need?

Make your suggestion and I'll try to make it happen:

- Article Ideas with information about common questions

- Resources

- Applications

- Features for Advanced Hoopers (we have tons of info. for beginners but what do more advanced hoopers need?

Please keep in mind that I am not a programmer and so my skills are somewhat limited so there are some features I simply won't be able to create.

andriod/iphone app!
Agreed!! I look every week for a new hooping app.. I had one for my iphone that was tutorials- but now I have android and I'd LOVE to have a hoopcity one!!
I'd love some sort of thing for more advanced hoopers/people who have been hooping for a while...something that was more aimed at how to keep changing things up with hooping and not necessarily on new moves/tricks.
I also think an article or video of sorts that introduced the different types/methods of hooping would be cool. Sustained spinning vs. belly dancing with a hoop vs contortionist hooping vs all the other methods. Something you could look at for a quick intro into the different methods and get some ideas...

hmmm....

Would a collection of Dance videos be cool? Moves we could tie into our hoop dance?

That would be awesome!
Is it possible to have the hooping forum in a different format, like this sort of style? Its a bit more orderly.

(Sorry for the random link lol.)

Also I find it a bit difficult to keep up with new posts when they appear part way through a thread instead of at the end. Unless you follow threads pretty much daily, it can be quite hard to keep up with whats current. I think in a forum as busy as this one it would be helpful if the lastest posts always appeared at the end of the thread and if people wanted to reply to a particular post they could quote it as they do in the type of forum posted in the above link (and other forums like it...)

We actually already have a "categories" option on Hoop City. It's in the Forum tab drop down. I could change the main page to reveal categories but I'm not sure if it's better in the end, it's kind of nice to be able to quickly click through to a title.... hmmm... I'll think about this for a bit.

Does anyone else agree with the idea of having all replies appear at the bottom?  I understand your point exactly.

More Sandra/SaFire

I have to say that my favorite time on Hoop city was during the 2 hoop jams. The first one was so much fun because it was almost impossible to keep up with online chat. The 2nd one was memorable because there was no volume on tutorials but Sandra was such a good sport to plow through it anyway.

Maybe schedule 2 or 3 of these every year?

Consider it DONE!

I think in the winter months would be best right, since that's when most of us get lonely.

I think January 18th might be a good one, it's Hoop City's birthday.

Any other suggestions for dates?

would love to have a section of videos for the latest bad-ass tricks. there are always so many mega enthusiastic new hoopers but im always curious who sticks it out though the years, bruises and "walls" they've hit.
Yes!  I am also curious about what kind of features would benefit hoopers like us. To "re-inspire" us.

I am down with BABZ Idea for sure.
