So I'm looking for more ideas on how we can make Hoop City even better. Do you have an idea for a resource we might need?
Make your suggestion and I'll try to make it happen:
- Article Ideas with information about common questions
- Features for Advanced Hoopers (we have tons of info. for beginners but what do more advanced hoopers need?
Please keep in mind that I am not a programmer and so my skills are somewhat limited so there are some features I simply won't be able to create.

Hey Babz, Can you think of an idea of what this tool might look like? The feature for advanced hoopers?
A directory of tutorials for moves and tricks
A kind of map of hoopers and hoop events ? Not with exact adresses of course, but just cities.
I've tried doing a member map, it's a LOT of work and isn't totally accurate. Basically it would be created by me link each state or country to connect to the page that are the search results for typing in that state name/country name. So the results are the same as if people just searched... it would be pretty for sure but the functionality would be exactly the same. Sadly it wouldn't include everyone either since sometimes people write CA and sometimes they write California. : (
I'll add it to the list though because it would be really cool.
Love the idea for a map of events though, that would be way less tedious to make I think.
Okay. So I got started on an Event Map: http://www.hoopcity.ca/hoopingretreatsandfestivals
Let me know what you think of it. If everyone likes it them I'll fill it in with events that exist so far.
There is a "block messages" feature... but you'd still see their general posts in the forums and such.
Love the idea of dance move videos, tutorials on incorporating dances moves would be even more awesome! Usual advice of just dancing or doing your own thing while hooping is great, but for me (I'm not a natural dancer) some direction would be much appreciated.
Also love the idea of the latest moves videos!
Something else I've always wished I could find is a move 'directory of names'. It's always been a bit challenging when I see a new move on a performance video (or in person) and have to try and guess what it may be called so I can surf and attempt to find a tutorial for it, or ask my hoop instructor for a break down of the move. Not sure how this could be accomplished since sometimes the same move is called different names by different people but perhaps greater minds could come up with something that may help :)
I love the idea for the "latest moves" videos, but I nearly lost my stuff when I read the "Combination Generator". That sounds like SO much fun!
