Does anybody have videos or pics of the ASTRAL Atomic Hoop in action, or a review of what you think about it??? I have a PSI hoop and I love it, though I got the heavier one, and would prefer a lighter hoop eventually. That hoop just looks so amazing with all the modes... I just wanted to see it in action if possible, before I spend that much money....I also am thinking about LED minis...I may go with PSI again, but I saw some collapsible hoops that were one big hoop and then also minis which was super cool, but I was not sure who made them.

the weight doesnt bother me.  it's heavier then a regular hoop of course but definitely about normal weight for an led. I have lighted lifestyle hoops and I can basically use the atomic as a double to my 3/4 inch poly led.  The balance is good, it's not ABSOLUTELY perfect, but neither are any of my leds or hoops, they are all extremely close to perfect and this ones no exception.

I plan on sending it back but I'm not ready to part with it re: crazy light... festival seasons coming up and I love this thing.  It's funny, my one light thats messed up color changes a color faster than the rest so its kind of a cool effect for now.  something about looking on the bright side of things B)

anywho I understand the hesitation let me know if you have any more questions.  Honestly, I cant even look at the thing while color changing its so bright!  epileptics nightmare

if you have a problem with a light and it's still in warranty contact them.. they have excellent customer service.
So astral measure hoop diameter with ID, which honestly makes more sense for hoopers as it is standardized that way across different hoop diameters... that being said I measure my hoops by OD, convention i guess. that being said we DO refer to tubing size typically by ID, so 1/2" irrigation tubing is 5/8" od and 1/2" ID, 3/4" irrigation is closer to 7/8" or a solid inch...
they use 3/4 inch... so when you have a hoop measured at 33 inches OD... and compare it to a 3/4" irrigation tubing size (what they use to fit the chips they're using, it adds about 2 inches... it would HAVE to fit inside if both are 33 inch , but one is OD and the other is ID...

I use a 33 inch OD 3/4"OD PP hoop most of the time... I have a 30" ID 3/4" ID HDPE astral and I like it quite well.
It is a little heavier, but the size and weight ratio work out okay.. and I I am more than willing to compensate for the slight variations due to the lighting effects it gives me.

My psi is something weird. I'm testing some prototype plastic tubing for patrick and it's pretty dope. sort of between HDPE and PP. Thus far it's taken my breaks liek a champ... so it gets a big mark in it's favor from me.
Hey everyone! After waiting 10 weeks and 3 days, I finally got my Astral Atomic hoop in the mail.  And then today, I finally decided to compile a hooping video with my Atomic hoop aka "The Mother" as my friends call it.  Click the link where it says "hooping video."
I was so excited to check it out, but it says its blocked in the states for some reason :(

I received my Atomic last Friday and I love it. I'm working on a video showing all 90 settings in action, it's just taking awhile to get one continuous shot. I don't do video editing, so it's gotta be 1 take! I'll try and get it done tonight and get a better review posted next week when I am through with work (hooray for summer break!). As for the weight, I have an ID 33 and find it incredibly light, but not too light. I just downsized my PSI a few months ago to OD 36, with 7/8 tubing and the Atomic is lighter than it. When the sun sets in a bit, I'll give the video a shot.

Oh, and my husband is calling my hoop "Spaceship 9"  LOL
