Hi, so I'm kind of a shy hooper.  I was just at a fesival though  & eventually decided to go in the back & pretend I was just grooving in the backyard. The whole environment was just too beautiful to pass up. There were moments  that I'd kind of look around & find phones & cameras out.  A little unnerving...but it was a public venue. I'd like to try to find some of the footage, what would be the best way to do that? What search terms might be most effective? Thank you :)

I have been on a hunt for some footage too going all the way back to Wanee Festival in April...with no luck lol.  I think your best bet is You Tube though!  Its the most accessible for videos or maybe the events Facebook page?  Just search "hooping at ____". I hope you find something, its always exciting to see some footage.  Good luck <3

Good luck on your hunt, too :)

Google different combinations of the keywords that people might use:

hula-hoop, hoola hoop, hulahoop, hoop, hula (b/c people who aren't hoopers don't know)

 girl, woman, chick

 dance, dancing

festival name (in all its variations and misspellings)

 location name (city, state, beach/park/building)

And search directly in YouTube (checking for related links that come up on the side or after the video) and Vimeo. Check photo sites, too, like Flickr, Instagram (can you search Instagram?), etc. Someone with a photo might also have footage

Also, check back after a while. not everyone is prompt about getting their videos online. Could be months before they are up.

Thanks Tink, I didn't think of the misspelling aspect of things. Or the photo sites. <3
