Hey hoop family!

So, I have been deeply thinking about piercing my nose for a couple of weeks now...and my big sister (shes amazing) offered to take me in this afternoon- her treat! Only problem is....my lovely boyfriend is not all about it. He's not like being rude about it or anything....just saying, "Don't do it, Jazmin...." but I think I'm going to anyway. I want it, I think he will grow to like it....and hmmmm.... any advice??

do it girl!! i love them think they are super cute, and you can always take it out...i have mine pierced but no jewelry in it at the moment...i always go back and forth and the hole isn't noticeable :) as soon as it heals jus downsize to a tiny ring

ps that's exactly like my boyfriend and tats, i have 9 tattoos and he has none. i want a sleeve eventually and he is not excited about that at all but hey, i love them and won't stop bc he doesnt hehe

luke is like that too! One day I came home with a tat...i was super excited "look what I did" he replied bluntly.."why". Ah whatever...i still love it!

I love you girls! Lol my bffs on hoopcity for sure! I'm gonna do it :)

Hah, I just saw this after typing my reply....woot!  Share pics when you do!

I have been with my boyfirend for four years now and when we met i still had my nose ring in. I took it out for a break for a bit and one night he was saying I hate nose rings! i laughed And said i had one for about a year the first year we were dating. He said wow you must have been so pretty and cute I did not notice! So even if it doesn not grow on him chances are he wont even notice after a bit. so do it for yourself if that is what you want!

I loved mine and had it for 7 years. I am wild sleeper though and eventually took it out because i kept ripping it out at night.

Let us know how cute you look and how much you love it this afternoon!

My ex didn't want me to get my nose pierced.  He was pretty much an awful dude though, so he sprung it on me when we were already down visiting my sister, who was going to take me to get it done as a sisterly bonding thing.  I'd wanted one for yeeears and when I changed my mind, my sister was furious, though she stayed polite about it.

As soon as we broke up, the first thing I did was visit her again and get my piercing, and I've loved it ever since.  Honestly, I could understand if it was a massive change, but a nose piercing is a little thing and it's something for you.  No one has the right to make that decision for you.

Also, most people dont even notice I have my nose pierced at first.  It's just a simple small blue opal bone (a stud, basically, but it's one with a little ball on the other end that goes inside because screws stick out the bottom of my nose, ew!)

...I say do it, if you really want it.  But, if you're going to put like, a giant hook in there, you might want to discuss it.  That's a big difference ^^

Do it! I have been wanting to do mine for years! Im afriad my hoop will hit it and make it sore...any insights?

Well, Nico- if you do lots of nose hooping then I would wait til it heals to nose hoop. I got it done last night! And I just got done a hoop sesh this morning and didn't hit my face at all....just guard your face when you do some crazy funky moves lover!

I've had my nose piercing for 6 years, and I still love it!!! I get compliments on it regularly, even my late grandmother thought it was cute. :) AND if you decide it's not for you, you can always remove it. I think it's a perfectly form of self-expression. Like nail polish, it can be changed for outfits or moods or seasons. A lovely boyfriend would, of course, acknowledge the joy you feel in wearing such a simple thing and have no choice but to support your choice to get the piercing. ;)

I got it done last night guys! I will post a pic for you guys tonight when I get home from work! Thanks for all the support! I haven't told Travis yet, I'm going to see if he notices heheehehe

DUDE!!

I seriously just got my septum pierced a few days ago. (Septum = the middle skin inside your nose)

I've wanted it for YEARS and it's something I can easily hide if I need to do a really corporate gig. Although... people have gotten really accepting of piercings lately so maybe it would be fine anyway.

I say go for it. ; )
