Hello beautiful hoopers!! I need your advice. I haven't really hooped in over 6 months and ive been really depressed and recently I decided it's time to get my ass off the couch and hoop. Today is my second day hooping in a row and I decided to record it for shits and giggles. I never thought Id share it cuz I'm rusty and I was hooping in my underwear. That being said, I ended up having an incredible time and finally getting my flow back! I'm really proud of this dance and I really want to share it because for the first time in a really long time I forgot where I was and melted into the hoop. However I didn't know if posting a video of me in my small underwear is smart to post on the internet. I have a tank top on and a sports bra but I'm definitely showing some serious cheek. Since my recent experience at burning man I'm a lot more relaxed with showing a bit more skin than I'm used to so its not so much that I'd care but I don't want to come across slutty or looking for attention...Or if it could effect my in the future for example with a job or something. I dont know if I'm going to post it but...
Would you post a video of you hooping in your underwear and what are your thoughts about it?
Thanks - Swift Hoops

Some employers will try to look you up on facebook, to see "the real you". So if I were you, I'd keep the video to myself. You can always film another pratice session to share. It's great not to be in a hurry to upload footage because then you can wait till you have the ideal footage captured to upload to share with friends, family, and strangers on the web.
You can up load it and make it private later if you really want to show your friends your dance.
Permalink Reply by Allyssa on October 7, 2012 at 9:36am That's actually true! I've heard several accounts of people who didn't get jobs or who did and found out their bosses googled them before hiring - creepy thought!
Permalink Reply by Allyssa on October 6, 2012 at 11:47pm I pretty much agree. I'm also one of those hoopers who is often concerned with looking too 'exposed' (It seems in my opinion most people - guys generally - like to assume all hoopers are girls who take off their clothes or are slutty). It's super great you caught yourself flowing but I don't know that putting your booty out there with your name associated is such a good idea :/ Unless you can set it to where only certain people see the video...still risky though. But in the end it's up to you!

I say go for it and post! We all have bodies and we should be proud of them. I've never understood being conservative about something so natural. Don't worry about what others may think, do what makes you feel good.

Personally, I wouldn't. Once something is on the internet, it's typically there for good. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I wouldn't want something that is innocent to me yet not so much to others, out there.
Before you post anything online, there are two things you should always think about.
1. Whatever you post will be available forever. Even if you delete it yourself, it is entirely possible that someone has saved it somewhere.
2. Whatever you post could go viral and be passed around to very very many people for a very very long time. Never post anything online that you wouldn't mind being seen by everyone, including family members.
No matter what you choose, you should definitely not associate it with your real name, for your own protection.
Permalink Reply by cassandra thomas on October 8, 2012 at 10:36am so true! i agree, as long as your fine with your family member potentially seeing something then go for it! I, personally would post it :) i think underwear is jus like a bikini bottom, so why not!
Permalink Reply by JJ Hula on October 7, 2012 at 10:23pm If you're even a little bit unsure about it I wouldn't post it. You never know who could come across your video...better to be cautious. Unless you upload it to youtube and set it to "unlisted" so only those that have the link can watch it..

i agree with jj. if you want to post it, make it unlisted.
