Hey there, I am looking for a collapsible hoop that I can take with me while travelling in Indonesia. It should fit into my backpack. And it would be nice if the shop was in Europe. I am thinking about the Hoopys from 4hoopers.com. Does anyone have experience?

Thanks for your answers...

I ordered the Infinity Hoop by Body Hoops and it just arrived yesterday. I couldn't be happier with this piece of merchandise! It folds to a quarter it's normal size and has excellent flow. I wish the circumference was slightly smaller (the only choices were 42" and child size) but this wouldn't even bother me if my apartment wasn't so unconducive to hooping! (very small space).

On a slightly different note... Indonesia!!! That rocks man! Indonesia has got some of the largest undisturbed forest in the world. It's long been on my list of places to visit! What will you be doing there?
How is it that you only had 42" and child's size to choose from?? --BodyHoops Travel hoops ordinarily come in two other sizes (one other lighter weight) than what you got. (I had them make me some 36" Infinity twins.)
Allow me to clarify.
BodyHoops itself doesn't ship to Taiwan (I tried) so I had to purchase from hoopnotica.com-->no DancePro style available... unless I'm completely inept, which is possible!
PM me if I can help. I know I've had (major!!) issues with shipping from BodyHoops myself. The size you have is "medium." I stock BodyHoops Infinity Hoops in small (one left in purple) and "DancePro" weight--both 38"-39", different weights. There are also the fitness weight twins, 36" in black/gold and red/gold.
I'm looking for some recs for a new travel hoop, too. I like my TrooHoops one because it has the push-button technology for taking the hoop apart but I kind of hate that it is soo big ( 42). The Hoopnotica ones can break down into pieces as well but the push-tab technology really sucks...
OK after that post I went back to hoopnotica & troohoops & I take it back:
hoopnotica now has the push-button tech ( the same ol' foamy tape in pastel & metallic combos) & troohoops has collapsible in 3 sizes & 2 weights. I guess I didn't notice that when I placed my order! LOl

So I'm going to go get a smaller, lighter Troohoop now.
thank you for your answers... somebody knows an European shop? This would be perfect...
I have quite a few travel hoops, and I have to say the infinity style hoops are by far the best. I have some that do up with screws and I kept on losing them all the time!
I just bought an infinity style hoop from Sharna Rose in the UK, and I love it, it's beautiful!

You can email her at sharna@sharnarose.co.uk

Indonesia is amazing! Have a fabulous time. I found travelling with my hoop a bit of a nightmare every time I went through customs but it should be fine if it fits in your backpack. Wish I had had mine when I went!

I'm in the market for a travel hoop, too. I'm going to Bali in March ! :D I've been looking around a bit. I'm kind of regretting not buying a pixie travel hoop at shambhala this year, now :( Anyone have one, or can share some info on these hoops?
My friend bought one from Pixie and said that it wasn't worth what you pay for it
Dammit.
I wish I'd known Sharna sold hoops! I'm such a huge fan of her hoop & dance style. I'd love to have a hoop made by this fabulous lady!
Id look at Trick Concepts collapsible fire hoops, they are great prices! and great quality

Swizzy Ape

a way out of the hoop

I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. In my bedroom held my boom box. Loud music would draw my angry step father towards my room. But I had to dance, so from a young age I would take a few preventable beatings so I could dance in my bedroom. Pretending I'm dancing on stage with Brain Setzer, I had trained myself to ingore reality while I dance. Even…

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing.  In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes.  All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession. I was so upset ,not for myself, but my students would have nothing to take class with. There…
