Wondering which wicks are best? I already know I want detachable wicks and not the pre-made hoops. It would be awesome if someone who has used multiple different brands of wicks could give me an educated opinion. Thanks!

I purchased quick wicks from Synergy Fire Hoops.....they are awesome!!!

Thanks :)

Truly detachable wicks, like ones that can go on any of your normal hoops, are only available from Synergy. They're called Quick Wicks and they're fricken' sweet. I haven't seen any other detachable wicks from other companies, but maybe they're out there? (Anyone know of any?)
I have a fire hoop that has detachable wicks, but I don't use the hoop as a regular hoop because even though I can turn it into a regular hoop, that's not what it's meant for. If I were using it without the wicks and kinked it or broke it I'd be pissed and I'd need to order a new hoop just to fit the wicks. Anyway, it's a realllllly beautiful fire hoop from Holistic Hooping. They're also awesome folks.

I have seen options elsewhere as some people have created their own design overtime. I've talked to someone who knows alot about this and there seems to be equal amount of pros and cons for wicks and just a fire hoop... Ill def look more into synergy though.
Thanks!

I'd recommend Quick Wicks from Synergy. They're the original attachable wick and have years of testing to prove their awesomeness!

Detachable wicks are definitely nice because I see a lot of people without them bending the rods by the way they have to set the hoop down, whereas I always unscrew the bottom one, set it next to the hoop, and usually forget it there and have to make a trip back. But the wicks stay nicer that way. Only problem is after much abuse they can get a little wobbly. If you order from this site he'll guarantee them for a year and you can ship them to him for service.
Permalink Reply by Becka McHoop on January 2, 2013 at 3:30pm BTW you will probably spend as much on quick wicks as you would on a whole fire hoop. Best just to order the fire hoop, IMO. If you do that, get the thicker one because they start to flex as they heat up, which increases the chance of catching a burn.

really good to know thanks for the tips girl!
