I thought it might be nice to have a thread specifically for tutorial requests.

Not to mention that I have the entire day off with nothing to do, leaving me plenty of time to break down tricks.  Does anyone have a tutorial in mind they would like to see?  I've never made one before and would like to try it :]

Now I'm even more confused because when I try to do it touching me, I can do it kinda on my back (behind my shoulders) but if it's low enough to be on my stomach there is no way I'm flexible enough to bend backwards. I wish I knew the name for this trick because I can't find any tutorials anywhere and it's really hard to explain tricks through typing. Sigh...

Oh well, I will just keep practicing and work on the flexibility of my backwards bend which is my biggest problem with it.

Off I go! :)

I agree with Katie's explanation, however I'm not too sure how much flexibility comes into play. I am not flexible at all and I love isolation barrel rolls (or whatever the name is). I didn't even know it had a name when I first started doing them! I'm not exactly sure of the name of the move that lead me to these barrel rolls, but I've seen tutorials for it under the names Wheel of Fortune (from lucashooping) and The Hip Hugger (I believe her name was hooppretty). The trick is where you use your hands to roll the hoop around your hips so that it makes a pretty frame around your upper body. To do the iso barell roll, stop rolling the hoop around your hips and begin spinning your body around the hoop. Keep the hoop touching the small of your back and at the same place on your front. Literally, stop rolling the hoop around you from the Hip Hugger when it is directly in front of you, then start spinning, holding the hoop still, in a way that the edges of the hoop still touch your hips like it did during the Hip Hugger. I want to say it's like the exact opposite of the Hip Hugger because now instead of you staying still with the hoop rolling around you, the hoop is staying still while you're rolling around it. I hope this makes sense! I'd make a video if I had a way of uploading it!

It isn't really making sense for me. LOL.. But it's hard to explain tricks through typing! Thanks for the explanations! I'll be practicing!!

if you still can't get it by tuesday i will make a tutorial for it then! (tuesdays are my day off and i keep making tutorials... tutorial tuesdays!)

Thanks!! I think I got it, I just need to practice more and get better @ stretching my back like that. It always helps to see a break down though just to be sure.

There have been a few tricks I taught myself just by watching but I was missing one little piece that connected the trick together.

I've been looking for tutorials on chest break/reversal variations other than using your palms and the inside of your arms (which I've got basically down). I see videos of people sort of following the rotation with the back of their hand on the inside of the hoop and I don't know if that's just for the illusion or if it's got it's own technical purpose. Either way, I like it and I can't figure out how the hell it works hahaha.

So if someone knows any good tutorials on different chest reversals and breaks let me know or if you want to make your own have at it! I really want to know a few more. Thanks in advance :)

I wonder if the first thing you mentioned is paddling?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0ntqrS1rAc    This is my tutorial for using your knee for a vertical chest reversal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSHH4M2msXc&feature=g-upl&co...

Oh my gosh YES that's what I was trying to figure out. Perfect, THANK YOU!

Your tutorial is also extremely helpful to me, I love that move. I haven't gotten it down or anything but I'm working on it :P

Thank you again!
