Ok so I wanted to update you all on my L.E.D. Hoop that my hubby put together for me. I ordered the basic supplies from ProMod website (The leds, the wire, the connector, the light switch, and the battery and then I separately purchased the white Pex tubing from Home Depot) Total cost for supplies.......$42 for the Promod supplies, and $10 for the white Pex tubing from Home Depot. (I got enough tubing for two hoops, so I can make another hoop when I get more supplies.) My hubby put it together and it is AMAZING!!! the instructions were easy to follow (my hubby actually made it more sufficient and did it in no time. I STRONGLY recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive way to have a glow hoop! Happy hooping everyone!!

Thanks so much for the tip! I have been looking into just purchasing one but they are so expensive especially the ones I like the most. I will definately try this out first before committing to spending $100 + on an already made LED hoop!!! Were you able to make it a collapsible hoop?
I was NOT able to make it a collapsible hoop. I bought white Pex tubing from Home Depot and have never made a collapsible hoop before, i stuck with what i knew!:):)
I had the same experience (pretty much) and we recommend prodmod also!
So cool - I think I will need to get one!
How it the weight/rigidness of the Pex tubing? When I 1st researched making a hoop I was warned away from Pex.
the weight of the pex tubing is slightly lighter then that of PVC piping. I really don't notice the difference. it actually works pretty well!:) I hope that helps
why did you decide to go with pex and not the tubing from promod? I think promod offers the collapisible tubing as well right? and what size did you go with?
i went with pex tubing because i didnt read completely what the promod kit comes with. i thought it came with the tubing until i got home and didnt see any! haha anyway pex tubing from home depot is amazing! i posted a video of my l.e.d. tub and i luv it!:)
Do the LED's glow through the white PEX tubing well enough?
I actually have some of that lying around, but wasn't sure if it would work because it's opaque, not quite as transparent as the other white tubing that I've seen recommended for LED hoops.
But if it works, awesome, one less thing for me to buy! :)

i went with the pex tubing because i didnt realize that the promod kit didnt come with the tubing....i should have read it completely! hehe....anyway i went to home depot and found pex tubing and i think it's amazing! i posted a video with me and my hoop...you can see the leds very well through the pex tubing. anyway let me know what ya think!:)
Just watched it- wow, that looks great! And I really can't tell that you used different tubing at ALL. Yay, I'm totally digging that dusty old white Pex out of the back of my closet! :)
oh i was actually wondering if any of you wonderful ladies with the promod diy hoops would post a video or something so i can see how they look!? thanks :)
