I already am old enough to be two or three of y'all put together (53) & it is my fervent wish that when I go, I go hooping! Spinning off into the next dimension, what could be better? So you can count on me until then! :)

I've actually talked about this extensively with my mom and some other people. I recently "broke up" with some friends who said scathing things about how if I planned to make a living off of hooping I was stupid, because it's just a fad.

I think that for the mainstream, it may just be a fad. But the hooping community is strong, and full of people who get so much out of it. There will be the trickle and eventual flood of people who want to try it out to look cool or get fit, find it doesn't match their needs, and move on. But for every ten of them, there will be one who truly finds the magic that hooping has to offer, that will stick around and make our community even bigger. As long as we're still around, well, we'll still be around, won't we? ;)

yah, you're right. I hope I'll do it when I'm old, and gray. My friends only give me crap about it in a joking way which is normally like "hippy!", but if that's all they can manage then that's not really a big threat. Making a living off of it would be so amazing! It just gets really competitive sometimes.

I was talking to this guy at the bank the other day, happened to have my hoop with me.
His company made a fire hoop for lady ga ga's next video.

Yay! can;t wait till it comes out, wish i new more details.
