What is your favorite type of music to groove to in the hoop! What helps your flow??

I am always interested in the music choice of others who hoop. think music helps me a lot with my flow. My favorite music to groove to when hooping is something with a good bass drop. I love flowing to STS9 and Disco Biscuits. they really do it for me! I would love to hear what others like to flow too so I can expand my music horizons!!

Bassnectar is always the first on my mind. His music fits so well with the flow of hooping... and his music has only gotten better over the years (more wompwomps!)

Besides that I have a lot of mixes from DatPiff.com with artists like: Cookie Monsta, La Roux, Flux Pavilion, Excision, Chase and Status(!!!)
depends on my mood... bassnecatar, baby anne, grateful dead, mgmt, mumford and sons, glitch mob, mos def. I guess heavy bass is usually what i want, but i like to switch it up sometimes, slow it down a little

I hoop my best to Bassnectar. He's awesome.

I'm still a hooping newbie so I don't really have a specific library of hooping music, but I love listening to techno and trance when I hoop :)
My husband has got me into the crystal method which i have found great to hoop to, i've also hooped to a few of my husbands own songs, he's works under the name A43, i actually quite like using his music because i know no one else has it, i've been trying to get him and our room mate to make me a hoop track but so far neither of them are budging .

I'm also quite fond of video game music my current favorite is the soundtrack for the game Silent Hill the room, there's one particular song called Wounded warsong which has kind of a tribal feel to it, i can't get enough of that song right now it got a really nice beat to hoop to.
any kind of house music, its happy, fun and bouncy and has fast and slow parts.

also something i just discovered, hooping to Rage Against the Machine is alot of fun with any size of hoop
Lately I've really enjoyed hooping to Nightmares On Wax! Love love love them! I also like to hoop to A Tribe Called Quest, lol. They just get me in the zone!
Agreed! I love hooping to old school hip hop, and A Tribe Called Quest is totally in my hooping rotation. So is a lot of bluegrass music, which is kinda a different vein, but variety is probably good for inspiring fresh insights from my hoop... or something. :)
a tribe called quest is the booooomb! :) im gonna have to check out nightmares on wax :)
Some of my favorites are Beats Antique, Shpongle, Big Gigantic, Deadmau5, Emancipator, Hallucinogen, and Mimosa. All reallllly reallllyy good =]

Anything that gets me moving and whatever fits my mood! The songs I like are generally 120 - 140 BPM : ) I like good trance, house tunes with sassy lyrics, disco sounds, break beats and some hip hop tunes.
