What to do with hair...

I'm doing a performance this saturday with my fire hoop. Usually I put my hair up in a hat but when I'm doing performances and especially for this party I want to do something with my hair. I have long dreads and bangs in the front...I was thinking pull my hair back in a bun (it would be big because of my dreads) and then spray my hair with water so its damp? put a scarf over my hair? I don't use any flammable stuff in my hair so that isn't the problem but when I'm neck hooping I'm worried about burning my hair

I put mine in a tight bun and wear a bandana over it. I don't know how many tricks you do while around your neck but up in a bun with a scarf should work great as long as there are no tails hanging down.
