I just want to bump this thread. I ordered mine today so I can get it in time for my birthday in August, and am looking for a few answers about its durability. :)

Having videos on their facebook and actual feedback is what made me decide to order today! I saw some people asked about durability of them, but the people who are responding are babying the hoops right now (not that I blame them!). I think I read that Proton Labs have improved on the design of the Atomic and Phoenix so they can really be used and not break, but I'm wondering about first hand experiences from people outside of the company. I did e-mail them about it though, so hopefully they'll get back to me in the next few days with some answers. I ordered HDPE for some (hopefully) extra durability

I read from Craig( I think on here) that he made them really durable. So that drops, flung at walls ect wouldn't affect it like it does some other hoops.
I'm just really curious if it's dust proof haha. Id love to take this baby for a spin on the Playa one day :)

Yeah I saw this video yesterday. So is it just me or is there a gap in the lights?.. probably where the batteries are placed. That's a little bit of a pet peeve of  mine with LEDs. Astral evenly distributes their batteries so there isnt one noticable gap... or is it just the girls hand on the hoop.. I can't tell.

i think it's either in the pattern, or it's the girls hand. i'm fairly sure there are batteries placed evenly around the hoop.. i noticed the gap, too.. but it wasn't there during all the patterns.
