Hi Jessica!

I checked for you again this morning and your order status currently says "About 6 Weeks" which has a target for about 11 weeks of waiting for you until it's delivered.  I know the wait isn't exciting but every single review we've received has exclaimed proudly that it's "worth the wait!".  Thanks for your order and I'm sure you'll agree.  :)

There have been a few "Atomic vs Helix" reviews others have done that you might want to check out.  The Helix has longer battery life, incredibly strong carbon fiber connector, significantly brighter, millions of colors, included customization software... and more.  There is a reason we're receiving so many more orders!

again, thanks for being so patient with me..and everyone. thanks for the update, i hope you can understand where i was getting frustrated.. i felt like i've been hearing "itll be 8 weeks" since may, and checking the website and it says the same thing.. i know youre a legitimate company, but i hope you can understand where i was starting to have doubts. thanks for checking on this.

Thank you so much for starting this thread! I've been dying to see some videos and hear some reviews about this hoop!

I really want to order one, but I can't decide wether I could live with the gap or not. Do you guys think there is any hope in waiting for a 2.0 Helix? Maybe Craig will see all these posts about the gap and decide it might be worth it to make the insert plastic for the people who would rather risk having a more fragile hoop, than have a gap. It looks pretty noticeable in all the videos, but for those who have seen it in person could you tell me what you think? Are the cool patterns and super bright leds enough to distract the eye from the gap?

I did alot of research before I bought my helix and all of the top notch hoops out there have a gap. The reason it looks so obvious it because it has way more lights in them then some of the lower cost hoops out there. Basically if you can't live with the gap, then a high tech hoop isnt for you because they all have them.

Not true. When I turn my Atomic to one of the settings with nearly solid lights surrounding the entire hoop, there is not a gap. I hope the gap in the Helix is fixed because I really want one!!

I got mine right before Bonnaroo (meaning it arrived, i ordered the release day) it was a bit of money and a little while wait but it was so worth it. I suggest it to anyone who has been hooping awhile and wants to gift themselves for their hard work. I love it, it's lighter than my 33" moodhoop and very well balanced, not to mention it comes with a CAR CHARGER! It's awesome for life on the festival roads. Very sturdy as well, I've been hooping over 2 years but I still drop it sometimes and it has never shut off or glitched or anything. I have videos and photos of mine on my page. :) GET ONE! You wont regret it.

Holy crap my helix came! I don't even care that it took 3 months to get here soooooooooo worth it! All my frustratin and anger melted as soon as I turned it on. Its worth the wait buy one if you haven't already!

Now that more people in this thread have their hoops in their hands, can anyone personally comment on the durability of the HDPE? Have any of them started to rattle or anything from drops? Or is everyone happy with their purchase? 

Still looking forward to getting mine.. Only about one more month! :D

OK, so I would LOVE to post a video of my new Helix but sadly that is not possible.

I was order #263 ordered April 4th.  I, too, felt misled about when I would be receiving my hoop.  I called Craig and spoke with him directly even about shipment times.  I was told initially 1st week of May at the latest.  I had thought I would have my mind blowing Helix for all my fun events of the summer.  That was not to be the case.  I was very frustrated.  I, too, had posts deleted on facebook because it seemed "personal" or something.  Anyway, my hoop FINALLY arrived last Wednesday!!  The 11th.  A week ago today.  And let me assure you, the 3 times I was able to play with my hoop it. was. mind. blowing.

On Monday, while driving home from a road trip with it it turned itself on and would not turn off. :(  The battery died shortly there after.  I plugged it in when I got home and it turned on. :(  After 15 minutes of charging I tried once again to turn it off, and this time it did!! Yay!!!  Then 15 minutes later it turned itself back on and would not turn off.  

So my Helix rests in darkness against the wall.  Very sad. :(

I posted on the wall.  I didn't say anything bad, just that I needed help and my hoop had broken.  My husband convinced me to remove it.  Likely Craig would have anyway.  I sent him an email Monday evening and he has yet to reply to me.

I am so incredibly bummed out.  I am 44 years old and have 4 kids.  I NEVER splurge on anything for myself ever.  My oldest kid goes to college.  We are doing renovations on our home.  We are smart and reasonable and responsible with our cash flow.  Yes, I can afford this hoop, but I stressed for days before ordering trying to justify it and even figure out if *I* was worthy of such a fine contraption.

So now I wait.  Again. I am hopeful he responds to me today.  I know he is overwhelmed right now and that he is trying to get everyone their hoops.  I have a hoop performance scheduled for the first weekend in August at a private music festival for a bunch of old hippies.  I was really counting on having this hoop when I ordered it in early April and right now that is not looking so good.

Ugh, sorry this is so lengthy.  Has anyone heard of/had any problem with Helix hoops?  Wish me luck!  Hopefully I hear from Craig soon! <fingers crossed>
