hi goldfish,

thanks for the good feedback, really no offense taken at all. i can certainly understand what you are saying and as an artist, im always aware that not everyone is going to like what i have to present, its just the way it goes sometimes. but all feedback is good feedback.

and im really sorry that i made you feel icky! not my intention at all! its just all tongue-in-cheek, really. i am a hoopslut, and an artslut, oh and a sushislut too. its just who i am. all in good humor, my dear!

I am also very appreciative of your effort to organize this site, it's very helpful! But the FIRST thing I noticed was those hideous coffee mugs on the right. I don't think it's appropriate or representative of the hooping community to sell merchandise with a message like that written on them. 

There is an entire thread about degrading comments seen on YouTube, and I think the design on the mug only perpetuates hoopers' frustration with how the hooping community is seen from outside perspectives. And I'm sure more sales would be made on mugs if the message was a purely positive one. I do not mean to attack the site developer, but I am beyond tired of sexist and misogynistic reminders in our society. ;)

lauren,

i am sorry that you feel this way about my hoopslut collection. i dont see it as degrading at all. to me, it just means someone who absolutely loves to hoop. i dont think its sexist or misogynistic at all. infact, there are many men hoopsluts!

i am totally a slut for hooping! i am also an artslut, & a sushislut. to me (& many others), they ARE positive messages! i made the collection as artistic expression of who i am.

not all art pleases everyone. i am truly sorry that you are offended.

ooooooo... I've been planning on putting something together like this for a long time.  I'm working on a site now and hope to have a trick list in addition to a blog and store.  Still got a lot of work to do.  Great job on your site!! Maybe we can do a link exchange when I get mine up ;)
