Hey, all. A few of us beginners were saying how we didn't really feel like like hoopers yet. I started being aware of how into it I really was and decided to write a Signs That You Are a Hooper list for beginners to help us see that we are hoopers and also because I think the list could be hilarious. I want to open it up to suggestions from the community to see what kind of list we can come up with.

So far I have:

You know you are a hooper when:
1. You spend five minutes packing clothes and personal items for a weekend trip and 45 minutes deciding which hoops and hoop-making supplies to take.
2. You own more than five hoops.
3. You have so much hoop tape that your room looks like a rainbow threw up in it.
4. Your spinning class has nothing to do with bikes.

Ditto to all of the above. The back seat one reminds me. You choose your new car based on whether your hoops will fit or not.
ok... I actually did that. I was between two cars and i put hoops in the trunk of one and couldn't in the other so I got the one the hoops fit in! AH!

You are not the only one. I know someone else who did too. That's where I got that one from.
I did too! I brought my hoop to a dealership to make sure I could pack a lot of hoops into my Nissan Cube. =)
Ha! Ha! That's what we did last summer! Mazda 5 won over Mazda 3! We just love the car! My boyfriend, our 2 kids, me and lots of hoops can take place in the car at the same time! Yeah!!!
Me too! That was a huge decision point. I got a Honda Fit because it accommodates hoops so well. When I made it to a Hoop Path workshop in Chicago, two other people had Fits for the exact same reasons. :-)
Lol. So true. I went from a neon to a vw rabbit. Small but excellent hoop space with the hatch back
You choose an apartment based on hoop space!! Of course, keeping in mind winter and summer hoop time!!
I totally jus bought a new jeep liberty and that wa totally one of thedeiig factors!! lol
OMFG! I DID do this too! I was looking at a smart car, but then I got really sad knowing I couldn't have my hula hoops... so I was thinking of making them all into travelling hula hoops instead... Nope, got a 1989 Marcadies instead. Lots of room now!
You hear music, any music, and think "Can I hoop to that?"

You choose your outfits based on hoopability.

You send a lot of time on hooping sites and communities! :-)

You're proud of your bruises.

"invisible hoop" dancing is unconsciously performed when no hoop is available.

Etsy becomes a favorite place for clothes (also goes back to the aforementioned hoopability factor).
Def agree ESP outfit hoopbility

Also when looking for an apartment or at friends look for inside hooping space or the nearest park

Always having hoops in the car in case the opportunity arises
