Bellydancing is definately challenging! I like to take from it that the intention is to completely finish the moves, I think it helps in my hooping so my moves aren't choppy and forced but more at the tips of my fingers like extentions of the movements and moments the hoop creates. Wow that was a bit deep for me to say, moment of clarity:-)

Hey Rachael Bone.  I am new to hooping and I also take a belly dance class right before my hooping class. Belly dancing is hard, but I'm hoping to incorporate snake arms into my hooping so that I don't look like a lobster claw girl!

I started taking bellydance to help in becoming more fluid and to make the things like "lobster claw"ing while learning new tricks become more of a muscle memory that is pretty to watch. Of course I fell in love and do both as separate practices and try to mesh the two. I really want to attend lots of good workshops for 2012, any suggestions?
