@ Siren- Thanks for the reply in regards to hooper space. You sound like you have it done to a science. 1,000 sq or a little more would be ideal. Then you have take into count all the other buidling issues, floors, miorrs, etc....!

Hey Rachel - it depends on a lot of factors.  Beginners usually have bigger hoops which need more space, typically on body moves take less room than off (think about how much room you need to do the helicopter or a 4 point flower), twins obviously need more room :)  Ideally I'd love to have 15 sq. ft. per hooper, but spaces that large are typically too expensive.  I plan for 12 sq. ft. per hooper;10 sq. ft. is doable, but it gets tight and can limit what you can teach (or they have to practice in groups).  So.....

6 students @ 12 sq. ft. = 864 sq. ft.

6 students @ 15 sq. ft. = 1,350 sq. ft.

12 students @ 12 sq. ft. = 1,728 sq. ft.

Dose anyone know how much space you need for a studio? I am doing a class project, make a business plan. I am thinking 6-12 students but the 12 students with tradinaol size hoopers might be much so maybe lower. some help would be great!
