Looking for inexpensive Business Cards?

I ordered from these guys when I first needed business cards,
super easy to use and the pre-made designs are actually pretty nice.

The craft fairs might not require a tax number but anyone operating a business (i.e. making money off hoops, teaching, or performing) should have a business license.

As far as the states go, you do need a tax number at least to sell your hoops at most craft fairs or art shows. I started a jewelry design business awhile back and eventually just expanded it to include hoops and such! This includes registering a business name, although you aren't trademarking it at all. It's really very easy to do, I think that my tax number only costs me $10 every two years or so, and then you are TAX EXEMPT for any materials you buy for your business, like tape, piping, etc. This saves a ton of money in the end, and you can also begin to write off things like gas money to drive to your shows, entry fees, and so forth. It's worth it in the end to register yourself and get a tax number!

sooo...am thinkin that i want to get my fittness certificatcation ans teach a
class in a dance - or karate studio, and rent the place for an
hour or 3 .....does that make sense? would someone do that? How much do people normally charge for a class...fitness or dance class? How long would a class be? i think an hour isnt enuff time...an hour is a tease to me. lol..a good work out is 3 hours...so i was thinkin 2 or at least an hour and a half. Do you need a certification for this type of class?

At a jym or working for the state you deffinetly have to be certified right? And gyms pay you how?? and the class lenght is???

How much is certification?? Ive seen ads on getiting certified for hooping...and thought it would be a waste of my money...

I have at lease 5 people that want me to teach them...maybe private classes of just one person...ugggh. ive had my own business once..i should be able to do this!

ty for everyones help on this multiude of questions! PEACE

Swizzy Ape

a way out of the hoop

Posted by Swizzy Ape 2 Comments

I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. In my bedroom held my boom box. Loud music would draw my angry step father towards my room. But I had to dance, so from a young age I would take a few preventable beatings so I could dance in my bedroom. Pretending I'm dancing on stage with Brain Setzer, I had trained myself to ingore reality while I dance. Even…

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing.  In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes.  All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession. I was so upset ,not for myself, but my students would have nothing to take class with. There…
