How does it work? Just start a discussion! For example, if you're looking for something, make your discussion topic something like "Wanted: Hoop." If you are offering something up for trade, maybe post "Wanted: Hoop, have Poi for trade" or "Wanted: Hoop, $x or less" Same for selling, list what you have for sale, what price you require and/or if you'd be willing to accept a trade. If you have something and you don't quite know what to do, you can post something along the lines of "I have x that I don't use anymore, up for barter, make an offer..."

Some things to keep in mind to make this a fun and positive experience for everyone:

Please describe your item's condition, quality, and history as accurately as possible to allow fair trade or pricing. Include pictures if at all possible.

Unless other arrangements are made between the two parties involved in a transaction, the "sender" will be responsible for cost of shipping their item to the recipient and vice versa. Please include this factor in when determining the value of any item you list. This is so that item price+shipping costs = value, so that trades of equal value are more easily accomplished.

Bargaining or compromising on prices or terms is great, but try to keep it as haggle free as possible. We want to be respectful, responsible, and accountable for our actions. This is a great community, and I have faith in our ability to work things out civilly with one another.

HoopCity, This Group, Myself, and SaFire are not responsible for any transactions gone bad. I hope that we will not have a problem with this, but if an issue were to arise, it would be strictly between the parties involved in the transaction.

Links to websites where information can be found on services you're offering, or links to items you'd be willing to offer up for trade or sale are perfectly acceptable.
