rachelle- I used yoga pants pattern 3443 from Kwik Sew. I left bottoms open at side below the knee and zigzag/stretched for lettuce treatment around edges. turned out great. i went back later and made interchangeable inserts for the openings, attached by hook & eye to the inside of the pant at opening.
