Jana, I don't think it's possible for there to be too much fabric. Seriously, circle skirts and 8 or 10 panel gored skirts are amazing for spinning. Sometimes you can find long 'hippie' skirts from the thrift store that have a lot of fabric that will spin beautifully. I make mine out of stretch knits so that they fit to the hips and torso and flare out at the hem.

I have a idea for what you could use that may look supercute as I'm on my phone atm I can't send a drawing just yet.
But will try to tonight

And it will be a simple pattern to cut and sew to custom measures.
