I would recommend looking in the regular or sports section of the patterns. While you are looking remember to think about how each design will look in another fabric or color, often the patterns look boring in the photos in the books.

Also think about how you might be able to alter a pattern to to suit your needs. The hardest part of pants is the waist and top part so if you find a good pattern for that part it would be quite easy to play with the shape of the bottom.

Hey guys, I am looking for a pattern or something to do some hooping pants. There is a costume/fabric store near me but all of their costume patterns are for little ones - I want pants for me! I have a velour-type fabric and am looking to make some costumey bell bottoms. Anyone have any advice on where I could find a pattern or something?? Thanks! :o)

Dl, your friend's stuff is very cute! A bit pricey for me, but I dig those pants!

I wear jeans to hoop all the time. It makes knee hooping tougher, but other than that it works just fine. I have two kids and do not have time to change into "hooping clothes" prior to a session. Heck, jeans are my hooping clothes! lol

I have seen people wearing jeans in hoop videos, are they really comfy and non slick enough? Also is there a thread here that talks about all sorts of basic-don't-care-what-it-looks-like hooping clothes? I hear not slick, short sleeved, and so on. But I was hoping for a more comprehensive list. :-D

I love to sew and to do machine embroidery. I haven't had much time in the last few months, but I do plan on making some hooping outfits once I get good enough. I just started hooping so it will be a while before any outfits are required. I have been sewing since I was about 13 years old.

Hey hoopers, I am so stoked to be seeing String Cheese at Hornings Hideout at the end of July, and in honor of that magical space and the peacocks abound, I want to make a peacock inspired dress. I have a teal prom dress to start with, but now I am looking for inspiration and ideas for it. Im thinking about making a detachable tail so that I can take it off to hoop. Something like this would be amazing: If anyone has any thoughts or ideas to share with me, I would be more appreciative.

Hello! I've put some photos together in this clip with the different costumes I've made for last Burning Man. I am still enjoying them through all these high season parties now. I hope it can give you some ideas. It's is so much fun to create your own costumes, as much as hooping!
