All my life I've been extremely interested in fashion, but have always been a casual or quirky dresser.  For as long as I can remember, my mother has nagged me to dress more like a grown up.  As much as I hate to admit it,she is partly right.   I've spent the last few months trying to refresh my wardrobe, and have discovered a whole world of fashionable fatties on the interwebs.  These ladies are out there strutting their strutting their style and proving that big girls don't have to be frumpy or boring.

For your browsing pleasure I bring you some of my favorite fatshion blogs:

Tell me everybody, where do you go to find clothing inspiration, where do you like to shop etc?  Post your favorite outfits (on your body or online), your favorite blogs, etc!

I'm a big fan of DIY and I don't know about fairy-esque stuff, but my hoop group and I made these super circle skirts that are great for spinning.  It is made in panels with triangles between each panel.  The bigger the triangle, the more spinny it is. (We morphed the pattern)  This is the closest that I could find.

If you wanted to do something different than a fairy,  I would go with circus ringmaster (you are after all a ringmaster) with a striped pants or a striped skirt and a really structured red jacket with a hat.  (I may do this for Halloween or even for Dragon Con this year.)

Thanks for the ideas, Vikki.  Since I posted that comment, I found a dress I really love and have decided to go Goth for the wedding.  The dress comes in a good size range (4-20W in US sizes) and has a semi-Victorian - 1980s Stevie Nicks vibe that I like.  Here's a photo of it:

I showed the picture to a friend, and she said she could see me hooping and dancing in it; I agree, so I'm planning to get it.  I'm waiting until a little closer to the wedding so I can make sure I get the right size.  I'm looking forward to getting my Goth on. ;)
