Hello my favorite ladies! I am so happy that things are up and running! I'm looking forward to things getting back to normal on our little group. Happy hooping.

Hi Cami! Great to have you here. I'm so glad you found hooping and  seem to be enjoying it.

Catherine is right that as you keep hooping, the bruising subsides. It's kind of amazing to me what I can do now, given that in my first week I was basically a giant bruise.

One thing that's really important is letting the bruises heal. You are right to limit your practice time (for now, I promise that soon you'll be able to go longer without getting bruised). But as much as possible try not to hoop on top of a bruise.

One thing that helped me, because when I started I wanted to hoop nonstop was to stagger things a bit. I worked on knee hooping one day and chest (with arms out the next day) then hand hooping the next. That, plus waist hooping which didn't bruise me, meant I could dance every day without rebruising a bruise.

Good luck. It sounds like you're doing great!

Hi Cami, welcome aboard. Aches, pains and bruises are all a part of hooping. They will fade and soon you'll be able to do so much with out a single bruise in sight. You have chosen a great group to be apart of. Everyone on here are all very supportive and encouraging.

Ever since I got my hoop 1 week ago, I've been hooping every day for at least 1 hour. The most I've done was 4 hours... and I only realized I was going that long when a bruise appeared on my finger tip and it started to REALLY hurt. Now I limit it to 2 hours with breaks in between if I want to go back at it. I'm excited to make this part of my daily routine.

Hey Rachel...Committing time to daily practice can be tough sometimes.  My number one tip is to just schedule it.  I get my practice in right when I get home from I don't sit down on the couch or start doing something...I go right into hooping.  For some people it is easier to just do it first thing in the morning or last thing at night.  When I am really tired and don't feel like hooping, I tell myself, I'll just hoop for one song-and I try to pick out a song I really love and usually after that one song, I have more energy and am feeling inspired and just keep going.  But it is really just a matter of making it a priority, putting it in your schedule and showing up.  Good luck!

Hey everyone. I want to be part of this group, yet I have no time mangment or something. Life is just so crazy and sometimes by the end of the day I am so wipe out to hoop. I think in the past few weeks I have only mangend to pick up the hoops once a week. What time mangment tips do you all suggest?
