Hi Sarah, above the comments here is the Discussion Forum.  Every day we post a new thread, so today you could comment in the "Tuesday January 27, 2015" thread...the link where all our posts are kept is 

For the weekends we just make one Post for Friday through Sunday.

Hi there!  I'm new here too.  Been hooping religiously now for about 3 months.  I wanted to join this group for connection, encouragement, etc.  I went to the link you posted below in order to post about practice but it doesn't give me an option to comment.  I'm missing something.  Anyway...looking forward to meeting you all.  Happy hooping!

Hey Samantha, welcome!  We post about our practices in the forum which is here  Just go to the date and write.  I have not hooped to the ChaCha Slide, but that sounds like fun and will give it a go!

Hello all I am a new hooper been at it just over a month now and I'm hooked! :) Just wanted to join the group since I have been practicing any chance I get. Last night I was letting my music shuffle and the cha cha slide came on. Extremely silly song to hoop to especially if you try to do the dance along with the hopping. Definitely give it a go if you have some time :) Oh and if Ive posted in the wrong area please let me know...

Hi Cami! Great to have you here. I'm so glad you found hooping and  seem to be enjoying it. 

Catherine is right that as you keep hooping, the bruising subsides. It's kind of amazing to me what I can do now, given that in my first week I was basically a giant bruise. 

One thing that's really important is letting the bruises heal. You are right to limit your practice time (for now, I promise that soon you'll be able to go longer without getting bruised). But as much as possible try not to hoop on top of a bruise. 

One thing that helped me, because when I started I wanted to hoop nonstop was to stagger things a bit. I worked on knee hooping one day and chest (with arms out the next day) then hand hooping the next. That, plus waist hooping which didn't bruise me, meant I could dance every day without rebruising a bruise.
