External Effects of Internal Dreams
So I watched Resident Evil last night for the first time. With all that zombie action going on, I had two dreams about zombies and/or zombie hunting during sleep state. It was quite bizare. The dreams weren't necessarily scary, but they were intense and definatley had to have been created by the ideas and actions of the movie.
How many people have dreamt about something they saw on TV or even a situation that happened to them that day? I know that the most common external object that affects my sleep is when the alarm clock goes off it is sometimes incorporated into my dream. The last few days we have been having hurricane force winds (gusts up to 75 mph) and it has been wrecking havoc on the buildings; super crazy noises and bustling about. The night before last, the wind was blowing so hard, the door off of our electrical meter came open and was slamming over and over again. It kept waking me up, but then I would fall asleep again and somehow the noise would become something in my dream.
Crazy how our intricate our brains are...

This has happened to me so many times. I actually kind of like when I wake up and go "o yea I dreamed this because some one said this" or whatever. It's really fascinating. There is one dream theory that when we sleep our brain is actually taking time to understand and solve things that may have bothered us in the day. Like puzzles :)

Yes, I totally agree. I read somewhere that if you do dreamwork, you can eventually use things like lucid dreaming to have "breakthroughs" with things like abuse, trauma, addiction; all kinds of things!! It is amazing what our consciousness and even our subconsciousness can do. I wish that I could join some kind of dream study; that would be so rad!!

So the other day, after the post on the zodiac changing was a hot topic, I had a dream that some girl on HC that was an astrologist made a post about it. I don't remember reading the post in the dream or seeing what the girl's name was, I just saw it like I was looking on the homepage tat he recently added posts. It was funny. I must have been really upset to dream about that haha.

This happens to me ALL the time. Last night even I was thinking about a guy I know and ended up talking to him for a couple hours right before I went to bed then ended up having a pretty sexually explicit dream about him.
