New Photo Contest!

Hey EO Hoopers,

I am happy to announce our new photo contest!

To enter: take a photo of yourself, hooping, in proximity to an Eastern Ontario "landmark".

You define what a landmark is to you-classics like the Parliament buildings, canal, gatineau park,your favourite neighbourhood, that special port-a-potty in your local park....anything goes.(as long as it fits within hoopcity guidelines of course)

Post your photo here. 

All entries are eligible for a draw for a lovely hoophugger donated by our very own talented Jenny Anderson.    For those of you not aware of the awesomeness of hoophuggers, you can see an example of one at http://rainedancehoops.blogspot.com/p/hoopshop.html

If you already have a hoophugger to protect your hoop and make that hoopy cool fashion statement, like hoops, you know you want just one more...  :)

Contest deadline has been extended to October 27! Contest ends October 13, 2011.  All members of EO Hoopers are welcome to enter.  The draw will be held at the free bi-weekly hoop jam at Dovercourt on October 14 28.

The winner will be announced here at the end of the contest.  Good luck!

I'll get this started...it's only a couple of weeks to the deadline for the draw! Let's see those photos :D

So many places I want to take hooping pictures, but with the lovely fall colour this week I was drawn to one of my favourite special lakes, Pink Lake in Gatineau Park. It's meromictic, which is cool. This time of year it's such a dark colour; I like it best when it is a deep emerald green in the summer.

just picked up some gorgeous-o fabric for the hoop hugger! silvery blue with tiger-y stripe texture. It can be all yours, just bust out your camera and hoop and enjoy our beautiful city!
