Welcome, Florida hoopers! If you are looking to connect with other area hoop dancers for jams, classes, workshops and/or gigs, then you've come to the right place. Abby from Hoola Monsters is the moderator of this group (based in the Tampa Bay area). Feel free to check out Hoola Monsters for events, classes and workshops in Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater and the surrounding areas. We often host visiting hoop dancers from all over the US, too, which helps to expand our knowledge and grow the Sunshine State hoop dance community. In the past, we've hosted Baxter from The Hoop Path, Brecken from Oakland and HoopGirl from San Francisco. We invite you to stay informed by connecting with us here! Tampa/ St. Pete/ Sarasota
Treasure Island Drum Circle: You can find hoopers at the Treasure Island Drum Circle on Sunday evenings (year round), located on Gulf Blvd. at 104th Ave. (next to Sloppy Joe's and the Bilmar Hotel). The Treasure Island Drum Circle starts a couple hours before sunset and goes until 10 p.m. every Sunday, year-round. Weather permitting. And if you live South of Treasure Island, check out the Siesta Key Drum Circle. It begins every Sunday in Sarasota, about 1 hour before sunset, just South of the main pavilion between lifeguard stands 3 and 4 on Siesta Public Beach.
The Blueberry Path in Gulfport: A hooper-friendly spot with live music. Evening gatherings on the 1st, 7th, 11th and 22nd of every month. Artist retreat with lots of cool stuff to see/ do - along with the best veggie burgers and smoothies in the world! Blueberry Patch

Check out Jodie's hoop dance classes here: Hoop and Health. In addition to her Gainesville-area classes, she also offers an online class using hooping as a tool to help remedy lower back pain. Jodie is a licensed Physical Therapist and LOVES teaching hoop dance as a movement and flow practice.

I'm from Panama and am very curious: where are you obtaining flight with rates of $300? Not saying that you are incorrect but those prices (in my family's experience) have not been available in years & I would love to be able to purchase tickets at that price if you can share where they are available.
