Welcome, Florida hoopers! If you are looking to connect with other area hoop dancers, then you've come to the right place. Abby from Hoola Monsters is the moderator of this group (based in the Tampa Bay area). Feel free to check out Hoola Monsters for events, classes and workshops in Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater and the surrounding areas. We often host visiting hoop dancers from all over the US, too, which helps to expand our knowledge and grow the Sunshine State hoop dance community. In the past, we've hosted Baxter from The Hoop Path, Brecken from Oakland, Anah from LA, and HoopGirl from San Francisco. Tampa/ St. Pete/ Sarasota
Check out the Siesta Key Drum Circle. It begins every Sunday in Sarasota, about 1 hour before sunset, just South of the main pavilion between lifeguard stands 3 and 4 on Siesta Public Beach.
The Blueberry Path in Gulfport: A hooper-friendly spot with live music. Evening gatherings on the 1st, 7th, 11th and 22nd of every month. Artist retreat with lots of cool stuff to see/ do - along with the best veggie burgers and smoothies in the world! Blueberry Patch

Gainesville:
Check out Jodie's hoop dance classes here: Hoop and Health. In addition to her Gainesville-area classes, she also offers an online class using hooping as a tool to help remedy lower back pain. Jodie is a licensed Physical Therapist and LOVES teaching hoop dance as a movement and flow practice.

florida geography: clearwater is west coast; west palm, ft. lauderdale and miami are east coast; driving time is a few hours. east-coast hoopers! check out the "miami hooping network" facebook group. also miami hoopdance and drum. i know that these both say miami, but theyre for networking south-florida hoopers. :) the community is growing daily...keep the faith!

I'm in Fort Lauderdale... I know it's kinda a trek for most of you florida hoopers but Sunfest in West Palm Beach is coming up soon. I plan to make it out there Friday and Saturday and hopefully there will be a few hoopers there.

Im in Lake Worth! I have a friend of mine who knows a couple of hoopers! There is like a mini meet up in Delray sometimes!
