drink it hot or drink it cold, great for your immune system, metabolism, and allergies. Helps you breath better. ( i am inspired because i am very very sick right now)

Stars Lemonade--
Juice from 1/2 a lemon (or some real lemon juice)
1 tsp real maple syrup (or 1/2 tsp honey, raw is best)
8-10 ounces HOT water
up to 1/10 tsp Cayenne pepper (as much as you can stand, you will increase amount more you drink)

i feel the affects for about 4-6 hours after drinking, and on days when i am not sick i feel more alert than i ever have with coffee.

If anyone else has suggestions on things to help asthma sufferers and treat other occasional breathing problems please share. i suffer from allergy induced asthma and am always looking for ways to decrease my medication usage.

So much great help! I never heard about the magnesium before I will have to try that. My asthma is not as severe as it used to be, but I have changed some things. More selective about room mates, the places I live in, as well as some of my food choices. I have witnessed many people benefiting from Bifidophiles and Acidophiles supplements taken daily for a few months time helps with lactose intolerance. Options to try instead of Milk that are tasty and might help, (some have a lot of sugar but it can help one make the change in their tastes till they are used to alternative products) Silk brand soy milk (i suggest chocolate for starters), there are also delicious rice and almond milks but they are not as creamy or think as dairy milk. I doubt that my asthma can be cured with better quality food there is almost nothing that I eat that was not grown or killed by me (yes, everything from veggies to chicken, and other hunted animals) I am excited to try those raw food smoothies though, sound delicious and a great way to pack in vitamins that I otherwise am too spoiled to eat. I have heard lots of things about Master Cleanse programs but never done any official regimes (I am only 25), however I have heard that even going so far as the regular days of fasting suggested in the teachings offered by the people who write literature on that method (my mother has a book, idk if there are others) seems like a step I could try. It has been suggested that it helps your body detox of all the mucus and anything that clears me up sounds worth my time. Thanks again for all the responses I look forward to more in the future

I have asthma and eating good definetly helps.

I cut out dairy 8 years ago. That made a huge difference.

Moving to a damp climate, and away from an agricultural area helped.

Limiting my wheat intake also helps if you're allergic or intolerant.

here is a detox link on a site I love:

I still have to take symbicort daily tho. Its probably the lowest dose I've ever taken in my life.

I think hooping in general has helped my asthma...growing up i have always been in and out of the hospital. In high school i was admitted for almost a week at one time because they coudn't control my breathing. ive had a million pulmonary function tests, PEF and MVV tests, etc. But magnesium pills, healthy diet, less dairy helped me alot!
