I hope hope hope I'm not the only one that does this, but every once in a while, I end up eating like...a big bag of candy. (This Halloween was one such time) and I look up, surrounded in wrappers or other such candy paraphernalia and think to myself.... ugh. I feel dirty.

Then I usually eat 1/2 to an entire head of lettuce... It's my stabilizing, realignment sort of food. It gets me back on track and helps me feel a little better.

A) Does anyone else ever do this?
B) What do you eat as your clean food?

unsweetened green tea always makes me feel more healthy, as well as some raw carrots and celery... i love me some celery... oh and cauliflower. :)
Apples make me good too :)
The guilty food: Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
The make me feel better food: Spinach salad
Binge junk food eating? You kidding? Thats my life! Seriously, Ive got the worldest biggest sweet tooth! Green tea is my cleanse 'food'. I drink like 5+ cups a day.
Don't feel guilty, though! You only live once so you might as well spoil yourself. But to keep healthy, go for a walk after bingeing..or rock out with your hoop for a bit!
The week of Hollween is always a candy bing lol. there was one or maybe a few other times as to where I bought a whole bag of candy and just ate it all, it was only beacuse I was staving. Nobady knew either. I love pasta! Clean food I would say would be lettuce and cheese with a spoonful of dreassing.
Before I completely cut sugar out of my diet, it was licorice and gummy candies that did me in. Ohhhhh or those Riesens. I loved those and would have piles of wrappers in front of me. I understand the "bleck" feeling after it though. It was totally worth it at the time :D Although, yes, I would usually eat apples to feel clean. It's really amazing the effects food has on our bodies, not just making us gain or lose weight, but how it plays into our emotions and how we feel and just the overall strength and empowerment we possess as a whole.
Ah, you're totally right. When I've had too much sugar I usually end up getting really depressed sooner or later.

I wish I had the strength right now to get over the hump of cutting sugar out. I assume it's like any other thing you cut out... and that it gets better over time.... but I never get past the one week mark,
Don't stop cold truky, take little baby steps.
I stopped cold turkey, and I found it a LOT easier than going slowly. Going slowly just meant I made more allowances for myself and could justify more. But that doesn't always work for everyone. I find whenever I get a craving for something sweet, that often means I am probably just hungry as a whole or thirsty. If I eat a proper meal and am full from it, I won't be craving additional treats. Also, making a lot of smoothies is really great because you get the sweetness from the fruit/berries as well as fill up. The trick is to never buy the sugar stuff. Don't have it in your house. A box of cookies is much easier to grab sitting in your pantry than it is on a store shelf. When I started, I made an effort just to not go down those aisles when shopping. It's easier to say no when it isn't looking at you and beckoning to your every sense and being :p
My binge food is Mexican pastries. I don't speak Spanish so I cannot even say what they are.
At the bakery they just hand me a plastic tray and some tongs and then they just drop all my selections in a bag.
The varieties are endless and they make giant-size cookies too.
I am trying to quit and so in the past two years or so I have gotten them less and less...but they are still my strongest temptation. I am sure they are full of white sugar and white flour, and terrifically unhealthy but they make me happy when I have them!

I make up for it with green or zinger teas, lots of water, and fruit smoothies.
oh man kelly can i come to your house so you can take me to this magical bakery! hehe.. although after all this talk of smoothies thatll be the first thing i am treating myself to :)
A) I have a lot of binge foods, lately it's been Kazoozles and Corn Nuts.
B) My clean food is broccoli and cauliflower, in raw form. Mmm!
I find that green smoothie helps.
