Do you take multi-vitamins? Do you think that they make a difference for you?

I started taking vitamin D and Vitamin C supplements because I don't think I get enough sun or vitamin C in my diet and I cannot believe how good I feel. I haven't been sick for months!!1 WOO HOO!!
Also for those who are active Vitamin C is really important for your ligament tissue to repair itself properly. And Vitamin D is important for many functions in your body other than bone health. Mainly d your research and check into your diet but that might be worth looking into. Any way, what vitamins do you take? And do they help you?

I use to take a multi-vitamin every day... but my boyfriend told me yesterday that most of the vitamins are created synthetically and are not the best for your body.... I haven't done the research on this yet, so correct me if I am wrong- But he said if you take a vitamin, you should take the "organic" version, for they are created from plants and your body can break them down better. Has anyone heard of that? Is it true?

Since I started taking a multi vitamin (combined with drinking Emergen-C) I haven't been sick for a long time - and if I do feel a little scratchy throat, I always take Echinacea and I'm back to 100%!
This is true. There are chemically created vitamins, and those that are extracted from foods. The ones that are extracted are easier to absorb, and easier on the tummy. The downside is that they are pricey.
I take kids' vitamins - two of those Flintstone gummy things that are absolutely delicious. I also take an iron suppliment, which helps ward away fatigue that likes to plague me. Since I also have a few mental health issues, but I reeaaaallly dislike medications that doctors supply, I take an Omega 3-6-9 pill and a 5-HTP pill every morning as well, which helps keep my mind balanced.

I used to be really run-down, exhausted, and very easily depessed-anxious. Since I have started taking vitamins regularly, I have energy to exercise, and a combination of all of those elements have brought balance and energy to my life.

I haven't heard the argument of synthetic vitamins vs. organic... Mine work well for me, but I would be interested in hearing what other people might know!
I do this too!!  When I have yummy chewy vitamins I NEVER forget to take them.  ; )
I am veg*n, and have a lot of health problems (not from being veg*n), so about a year ago I started taking the VegLife Vegan Multi-vitamin, and since then my blood tests have come back much better than they used to be, not 100%, but there is improvement!
I take vitamin D because I've had a deficiency since I was a child. I also take calcium and magnesium. The rest, I try to get from my foods. But I am not against taking a multi-vitamin if my diet is lacking for any reason.
When I take my vit D and Multivitamin I defiantly notice a difference. ( My family all has a D deficiency) I consider vitamins as insurance against the gap in our diets. It is important to try to get your vitamins from food but food has less nutrition in it then it used to. The brand I use is Puritan's pride and I think they are pretty good.
I started on the Melaleuca Vitamins a few months ago and do feel better. I know I am getting what I need. The ones I take are pre-packaged in an AM and PM packet so you remember to take them and if you have taken them... very convenient. Their vitamins are formulated to absorb more completely into your system, rather than being passed through. I am no scientist but you can find out more by going to their website. www.melaleuca.com
I take vitamin c, vitamin d, vitamin b12 and fish oil.

my doctor noticed that my levels were low and i've always been a vitamin c advocate (i never get sick!) so i had to start taking them. but ever since i've started putting extra vitamins into my daily regimen i do notice the difference. its important to stay proactive about your health and getting regular bloodwork done to see if you're deficient in any of these areas. i unfortunately found out the hard way (i'm terrified of needles so i avoided it) but now i am feeling a whole lot better in more ways than one! good discussion :)
Fish Oil!
Currenty I take:
Multivitamin with green Tea
B Complex
2000 IU Vitamin D
Omega 3 with CoQ10

D Vitamins play such a huge role in everything. Its now recomended that everyone in my area (I love in Calgary) take at least 1000 IU all year round. At certain latitudes the sun isn't strong enough to create adequate Vit. D, even in the summertime.

I've recently got my boyfriend to start taking vitamins. His diet is horrendous and he only eats the veggies I make with dinner. He takes the same thing I do, but substitutes a men's multi for the one with green tea. Three weeks in and he is reporting more energy and better sleep.
HAHA! Because of this post I remembered to take mine!

I started taking adult gummy vitamins, only because I was struggling with my vitamin routine. Vitamins that are listed as made from Whole Foods, are better processed and aborbed by your body. That is true. And I do feel much less tired when I take my multi-vitamins on a regular basis. When I get myself in the habit (and get over my weird swallowing pill issue), I take a whole food multi vitamin, extra vitamin C,E, B-Complex, Cinnamon, and Flax seed oil. I take the Cinnamon because I am insulin resistant (I make too much, I am not diabetic) and Cinnamon can help the body to control blood sugar.
