Here in Taiwan's sub-tropical weather mosquitoes are a problem year around. Anyone have suggestions in keeping them away while outdoor hooping without using DEET or other harmful chemicals? Thanks.

Hi there! I was really excited to see a home remedy hoop group! I've been taking ayurvedic herbs (all natural ancient Indian medicinal teas) for a year and have recently gone gluten free to help with different  ailments and swellings.  I truly believe a proper diet can remove and heal health problems. I am currently making castor oil packs (homemade oil hot packs) for my feet and they have been helping soooooo much.  If anyone has swelling and joint pain castor oil packs and Tumeric root are both wonderful anti-inflammatories.  Happy hooping and healing blessings!! ~darcy

For Migraines I suggest lavender or peppermint essential oils. Also make a tea out of skullcap herb. Massage your neck/ head muscles & especially where your neck connects into your skull, or get a professional massage for headache release

Hi Christin :) When I feel a migraine coming on I drink a large bottle of water right away if I'm not able to juice.. dehydration can cause serious headaches. If you have a juicer here are a few recipes for headaches/migraines-

*Celery, Spinach, Carrot-

Celery is a great source of calcium and magnesium.  It has a calming effect on the central nervous system.  Spinach is highly cleansing and building and is essential for the body's circulatory system, especially to the brain.  add a whole carrot too, for its so-many healthy virtues and for its sweetness. If you are a beginner, use less spinach and gradually increase.

*Cauliflower, Broccoli and Apple-

Calcium and magnesium (from both cauliflower and broccoli) are an essential combination that can help prevent and relieve headaches.  If you are prone to attacks, juice and drink the above combination regularly, especially if you can anticipate the next attack..

HELP! Does anyone know any home remedies for migraines? Recently I started following a Yoga DVD that is "Yoga for headaches" I have always suffered from migraines : / Lately they have been horrible!  The last one I had i couldn't get out of bed for almost 3 days. I have seen doctors but at this point I want to expand my options. I cant imagine living my life with these debilitating migraines several times each month! Any advice?

Well, we appear to be a small group but this is an important subject especially these days! Giving the body what it needs to heal itself is a passion of mine. I hope to see our group grow!
