I'm thinking of starting this today! I feel like I've hit a plateau where I've lost a lot of motivation to hoop regularly. Maybe this is just what I need to get back into it!

Hi Beth. I haven't seen any new posts in a while but if you need a little guidance the discussion at the top of the page has a layout of how you can do the challenge day by day! I just always try to hoop everyday, whether its practicing a move or just dancing to a great song!!

I should start this again too! :)

This is the first of your videos I've seen, I think. Your isolations are awesome! I loved the one that you did at around 50ish seconds, where you were doing a bit of a back bend and framed by the hoop. So cool and I don't think I've seen it before. 

You've definitely inspired me to get up and hoop today. :)

Starting Another 100 days Monday! I have been hooping every other day but I'm getting stuck in that same rut of doing the same tricks and I'm ready to grow beyond it once again. I did learn a lot of great things at Hoopcamp but I want to integrate them more into my muscle memory. Who is with me??!

I am so excited. I wanted to tell someone and people that aren't hoopers don't get it, but I finally figured out breaks when waist hooping and how to catch the hoop to reverse the direction as well as getting the hoop off into a lasso and back on again! I want to learn Baxter's paddle breaks so badly now. I haven't figured out knee hooping or chest hooping yet, but there is sooo much to learn and never enough time or energy. I spend from 30 minutes (on days I have to work) up to 2 hours hooping every day but only do 25-30 min at a time in the summer heat. I break it into 3 or 4 sessions a few hours apart. I'd hoop in the house but I tried that and it is dangerous for my breakables as well as just much easier outside without limitations and walls. I have been hooping for a year now and until last month I kept it at waist hooping not thinking I could actually learn any real hoop moves and now I am doing them! YAY ME! So my goal for the 100 hoop day challenge is to hoop everyday for at least 30 minutes a day. I fell in love with hooping in 2010 and even though I have not hooped for all three years it has always been in my heart. I can't adequately articulate how hooping has changed my life and how it has changed me. I know some people are thinking "Hooping really hooping changed you life?" Yes, really hooping did change my life.

When I found hooping I was not in a good place my grandmother had just passed away after having Alzheimer's for about 15 years. Then my brother was hit by a car, luckily he was ok. And then the straw that broke the camels back my dog Viggo was killed by a car. I was so sad then I found hooping and it made me happy. My grandma would have loved it,she would be showing me up.

I now have two kids and they love it. My daughter hoops right along with me. My kids and hooping have changed my life. So my goal for this is to hoop 30 minutes a day as a way to sane in our crazy world. I definitely notice a change in my patience level when I don't hoop that day. Hooping makes me calmer and not a a crazy witch. And also after having two kids I have gained some weight so it would nice to loose that extra weight.

Sorry for the long explanation. So that is my goal hoop to sane and get my curves back. Good luck with your challenge and happy hooping.

Counting today as my first day, I'll finish Sept 2, 2013...a few days after fall semester starts up again. My own goal is just to pick up my hoop every day, even if it's just literally picking it up and putting it down again. I know that my own physical limitations will preclude seriously rocking out the way I did tonight (alright, it was mostly very enthusiastic waist hooping to some excellent music). I want to set my self up for success while also keeping the feel for the hoop in my hands and maintain the discipline of coming back to the hoop again and again.
