Interesting challenge, Shelley! Do you know yet which song you're going to use?

I've got two songs in mind. They are totally different, and neither one is something I'd usually hoop too. I mean I'd jam around with the songs playing the background, but I've never consciously hooped TO thes songs. Meaning, really listened to either one of them as I was hooping and tried to express the song through my movement. I don't mean in a theatrical sense. I'm not much on "theatrical" hooping. It's not that I don't appreciate it; I just personally wouldn't do it. What I'm trying to get at it a somewhat very unfluent way is that I want to know if my hooping is different when I hoop to something that really means something to me rather than just a fun song that appeals to me.

I'm probably making no sense! LOL!

I understand what you mean. If you look at my "Hooping Through Heartache" video, you'll see that I was tearing up near the end of it. Part of that was because of what I was going through at the time, but part of it was because of the song itself. Because of both factors, I think that's one of the more powerful hoop dances I've done.

Wow I SO love this challenge! I just found my camera so I do definitely want to get a hooping video up. Unfortunately the weather has been so crappy and I think my landlord is feeling a little crabby because I made this kind of gross patch in the grass from jumping around while it was muddy and wet. But I think this Saturday we're due for a nice day. I can't wait to attempt this!

Two songs immediately spring to mind and I have no idea how I'm going to hoop to them! But I love this. I think that a lot of music that is "moving" isn't necessarily what springs to mind when you think of what you want to hoop to. I think it's going to result in a lot of very interesting vids! Thanks for this. :)

You're welcome! I"m glad I've insipired you. I'm trying to think of more to put up to reach as many people as possible. There's got to be a challenge for everything and everybody!

I love this song. I wanted to do a ballet inspired hoopdance to it. It ended up being a bunch of practice video strung together for a contest, but I still like it.
