Hi Heather! Thanks so much for the info! I actually emailed too, so if you are the one answering those emails, feel free to ignore that one. :p
Sounds like I should definitely just go for the whole experience. :) Can't wait! :D
The full schedule for Hoopcamp 2013- A Hooper's Life: Dancing Your Light will be posted by early August. Wed is a full day. Check in runs from 1-3pm with our opening ceremony at 4:00pm. Baxter opens with the first workshop and then we go right into our welcome beer, wine, soft drinks and passed hors d'oeuvre reception. Afterwards we have Hoopcircle discussions and another evening workshop. The Cocktails and Chill lounge opens at 9pm and vendors will be open for browsing. You can always send us an email at email@example.com with questions or join the Hoopcamp Facebook Group. Hope to see you sharing your magic at Hoopcamp 2013!
I reaaaaaally want to go to Hoop Camp this year, and I am trying to decide whether to get the full Wed-Sun pass, or the Thur-Sun pass. It is only $40 less to get the Thur-Sun pass, but I can barely afford it, so every bit might help. BUT, I am going all the way there, so I don't want to miss any awesomeness!
Does anyone know what goes on that Wed afternoon/night? Is it just registration and settling in? Or are there performances and workshops? Basically is it worth the extra 40?
The other issue is that I might not even be able to get there until late Wed night... so I don't know if I should risk it!
Don't miss out! Registration for Hoopcamp 2012: Movin and Groovin' opens tomorrow, Tues. Feb. 14th at 7:00AM PST. Indulge your love of hooping and join in the magic. www.hoopcampretreats.com
Awesome! Thank you all for the information. I really hope I get to go this year!
I bought my ticket last year about a month or so before- DO NOT do this, though. They did get lauded as "Event of The Year" on Hooping.org a few weeks ago so it might fill up faster. :)
Hope to see you there!~
also, i had spoke with heather or amy a few weeks back and she had said that the extra night would be optional...hopefully that hasnt changed.
yes it covers the whole weekend, all the workshops (except privates) and all your food. plus a camp spot (you need to bring your camping stuff if you are camping). There are other options for staying there its just more $$. Its really super fun! and you get to seriously hoop geek out for days, lounge in a swimming pool, eat yummy food, hoop till you drop, meet new awesome people etc.
It does sell out every year. However, not right away. Last year I couldn't afford a ticket till early July. Not saying they will last that long last year, but I don't think you'll need to worry about getting a ticket right when they go on sale. :)
