I've read most of Brown's books, and I have The Lost Symbol on my bookshelf. I just haven't gotten to it yet! Mt. TBR (to be read) is HUGE! I had to buy two new large, tall bookcases to fit all my books in! And there only the ones I haven't read! Yikes! Anyway, my husband read The Lost Symbol earlier this year and enjoyed it. Brown isn't usually historical fiction, but his stories often relate heavily on historical events or events in the past, plus they're just really compelling, that I make an exception to my usual "all historical fiction" rule for him!
I am a multi-book reader: The Secret Power of Yoga by Nischala Joy Devi (a woman's interpretation of the yoga sutras)
Your Aura and Your Chakras by Karla McLaren
Journey of Awakening by Ram Dass
New Moon, which the books at lest the first 2 anyway are better then the moives.
Completed Pomes of Emily Dickson- Edited by thomas H. Johnson.
I read the first three books of the Twilight series when they first came out (aka before they were popular) and I boycotted the movies because I thought the guy that played Edward wasn't up to my standard haha. Still haven't seen any of them...
But, I have to say, that the point in time of my life when I was reading them, they were really good books!! I needed a strong, mysterious man in my life and Edward filled that void... cheesy, I know, but still; sometimes that is what a good book is all about!!

Not cheesy at all, I was in the same place when I read the series. Maybe it's good we can find what we need in books sometimes instead of settling for something a little less in reality?
Permalink Reply by Hoopaholic on December 18, 2010 at 7:54am i am currently reading eclipse the 3rd book in the twilight series. i feel the smae way about that myterious man thing...lol!!! i love the books though and i have the fourth... breaking dawn at the house for when im done w/ this one! cant wait!!
It's nice to know Hoopaholic that I am not the only who has not finished the series. Myterious Man hahaha. Edward sounds better in the books, heck the books are better all around and I think the character whats his name...Patterson? Is not handsome beacuse he has too much make up on to play the role. But it's ture the books leave ya waiting and wanting to read the next.
