Wow, Caroleeena! I've been watching your videos for a long time now, and I can't wait to get to take your class in person! YIPPEE! I've always admired your joyous and elegant hooping style!

I can't wait to see what some of the other sessions will be as well! I hope they release that list soon!!

I'll be there!  I'm so excited!  I've been wanting to attend since I first heard about it and this is my first chance.  I had planned to meet up with you at Transformus, Caroleeena, but it didn't work out that way.  I'm glad I'll have another chance now. :)

What is the name of the retreat center?  I wanted to see what all they had going on for the non-hoopers.  Also, is parking away from the camping areas or can you park right next to your car?  I'm so excited, I can't stand it!  I'm checking like 20 times a day to see if the presenters have been posted yet. lol.

It is called the Chestnut Ridge Camp and Retreat Center. I don't think they have car camping but I could be wrong about that. If you camp in a cabin, you can leave your vehicle near most of the cabins. (And cabins are fun. I recommend them.) There is a lake and canoes and a walking path and trails and some organic gardens and trail riding and a labyrinth for walking meditations. I think they make biodiesal on the property somewhere too. And there are cute chickens and an old dog who's real sweet. If you play an instrument, bring it. Some people play and sing and I always enjoy that.

Thanks for the info!  I see they have a zipline.  My boyfriend is going to flip over that. lol.  He plays the djembe, and I know he'll be bringing that.  He also loves horses, so whether or not he actually goes on a trail ride, he'll probably go check out the stables.

 

The map appears to indicate no car camping.  While it would be convenient, I can't say I'm realy sad about it.  It's so much prettier when there aren't vehicles everywhere.  Not to mention competing car stereos.

 

Did I mention how excited I am?  Why can't it be next week? :D

There are some folks who have camped in their vans or RVs, but there aren't special hook ups or fields for this.  If you wanted to car or RV camp, you can park pretty close to the class spaces and bath house in the parking lot.  OR, if you're cool with a short walk, you can park further up the road in the woods.  If you're bringing a beau, you may like the privacy of that.  There aren't any double beds in cabins. 

 

Teachers are sending in their class descriptions now...So, they will be up soon.

I'm really, really hoping I can afford to come this year.

I noticed a couple small things on the site I wanted to call to your attention - the FAQ page has closing listed as 11:30 on May 25.  Also, on the menu on the left, "Register" has an extra "s".  Looking forward to the teacher list & class descriptions!  =)
